Its a ball ache on the 172's though. I'm going to look at some custom options with it flanged after the front anti-roll bar so it can easily be removed for MOT time.
I love my stealth but think I need a decat tbh.
+1
Its still not cheap though. £190 a year. That would get over 5 years tax in my Gf's Mums Dci 80 :dapprove:
Car tax is a farce, is anybody actually bothered about emmisions, should be taxed on vehicle weight to show how much wear and tear on the road it is actually using.
I was going to book one online but it doesn't seem to be working. It works for the Twingo though :S
I'll pop down over the weekend.
I'm sure i'll prefare it to the 172. Although it might not be raw enough, you feel too disconnected in cars that are refined and well built imo.
What does your girlfriend think of you ragging it over the Cat & Fiddle Chris?
I can't wait to do the Cat & Fiddle, hope I can make it to the meet, if not i'll be going on my own sometimes soon.
The last thing on my list is engine mods. I've got an exhaust now which I wanted for sound, may also get a decat for more noise but now i'm getting it driving mint by getting both belts changed, full service and engine mounts done.
Next will be a few months away but will be coilies, unsure...
I think i'm going to book a test drive in one for the weekend. Just out of interest to see what its like compared to the 172. Arnold Clarke in St Helens have one in LY.
I'd keep the Cup. My ph1's what i'd describe as a good example however it needs belts, full service and mounts doing, which will cost me £600. Then needs a wheel refub so in total about £750 add that onto the £2400 purchase price and then your up to £3150. In reality not worth changing. Ok then...
I won't lie and say I like ZR's normally. However I do like yours because you have done proper mods to it which is rare on these cars, usually just driven and badly modded by chavs tbh.
Seems a bit of a waste to sell it when you've just got it right and you've had it a couple of months.
I'd either sell it and buy something other than a Clio or keep it and buy a run around.
As above realy. I'm having the mounts changed when the car goes in for belt changes. It currently sounds like a machine gun in 1st as the manifold knocks.
The car is only driven on road and won't be constantly ragged in 1st as I'm not into drag racing or anything, i'd just like to be able to...
Realy like the 5 series M sports. The 520d is no slouch, 0-60 in 8.3 seconds and 140+ mph top speed isnt exactly slow especially for a car that will do 50-60mpg. Personally i'd want a 530/5d but its still a great car.
