Yeah they have an LSD mate, it's like a figure of 8 but you dont cross in the middle if that makes sense, so yeah the whole lap is pretty much spend sidways - all about learning to use the cars weight shift to change direction, to slow down, using throttle to steer, plus it's up and down to it's...
So true Tony - the section of track you see in my video you spend a lot of time learning the basics, steering with the throttle etc - Once out on the main track in a Grp N car it gets faster (His proper track is about 3 miles, and WRC teams usually use it for testing) and if he lets you loose...
£300 for the day.
It's not as cheap as some, but you are literally out of the cars for about ten minutes at a time - all other rally days I have been to you have had a lot of waiting around - at this one your either driving, or going out learning about co-driving, or out for fast passenger...
People travel all over to go to Phil's place in Wales - FULLY worth the trip! Just stay up at a local hotel the night before, when I was there there were some chaps from Leeds, and East London - both said it was worth the journey lol
Cheers Mark, I have done quite a few of these types of days over the past 12 years or so, and I keep going back to Phil as it's simply the best one - you spend so much time in the cars, and you learn so much too :)
Last month I had another day at Phil Price rally school - I have been a few times over the past 10 years, and it's really good fun.
As we walked in, Phil was just walking across the carpark and came over to say hi as he has recognised me from previous days (Not a bad memory that, as I'v not...
My budget setup would be:
New discs and decent pads (DS2500 / 1155's)
Full service
Decent ROAD tyres
Eibach sportlines
Make sure everything is ok - check shocks for leaks/feel for wear, check ball joints, track rods and ends, check for any wear in suspension bushes.
Don't bother with...
Don't put more ideas in my head! My wallet is taking a battering as it is lol
(Though how awesome does that cage look!!)
Thanks mate, this is my first Honda, so will be interesting to see how I get on with it
Looks lovely doesn't it!
What this man said, ^^
Nice cars but WAAAAAYYYYY over priced - like rediculously!
Seriously, the car is fun, but have you seen the prices?!
They do tend to have MASSIVE scene tax, it does make me chuckle rather a lot as I do regularly see used items being sold for more than new...
Well the car hasn't got any further, simply so busy I don't have the time at the moment, (Not been on here in 3 weeks!) but I have purchased the number plate, though I paid very little for it so may sell it on.......
Well I've not driven this one due to the engine issue, but the general stats are 0-60 somewhere between 6-6.5 seconds, 0-100 in about 14 seconds and 150 odd mph flat out so while not super quick, enough to have some fun with :)
Funnily enough mine needs new rear tyres, so I'm on the look out for a set of 17's for it
I may have a lead on another engine too, wasn't expecting it this early....
Thats because you have been used to boost and got lazy ;)
It will take a while to get used to revving a car again, and I have to say what a great choice for a car - always wanted one!
Is it actually that slow though? last one I drove once on the boil was quite nippy, easily 1*2 pace, and...
