Lol, nice bit of trolling Fred! ;)
Once mines running by all means take it for a spin or pop to a local trackday to take it for a few laps, only thing is I dont have a sterio! ;)
A man who speaks sense, them cams are savage things that work well but sound horrible!
I'm not getting involved in the rest of the thread, there's already been a thread locked because of the trolls vs JLS Fanboys that have no idea about the product even though they've all driven an RS-2'd...
That looks like the first cage I ever bought from OMP, didn't fit well at all and had massive problems getting my money back!
What I found with the B pillar cross bar is my seat wouldn't fit back in the car as it would foul on the cage. Try and trial fit it with your seat
Don't know how yours...
I'd go with selling what you've got and getting the 8/9's chap, saves having extra spacers and more dish I believe? Also will fit better in the arches as well!
Having spoken to many people regarding suspension etc, in my mind its playing about with it yourself with how your driving style is. Let people advise you with things you could do but letting someone solely setup a car for you seems mad in my eyes, when my racecar gets a new setup i'll probably...
To be fair to you, if you just put some more spacers on there with that height it'll still look alright! IMO its not all about being as low as you can go as it then looks broken, for me its about 'fitment'.
Chuck some 25mm hubcentrics on it all round, then bolt of the adaptors onto that. It...
Cheers guys!
Chris - Yeah in some lights is does look a little RB but with the cameras flash its made it look really RB! Normally its not a too bad colour match for 2pack paint anyways.
There's no way near enough spacage/lows on the car to pull the wheels off, there's also no point in putting camber shims on it until the wheels dont actually fit in the arch!
Lol, its never enough sweetheart! ;)
As per your requests Russ and possibly others! :)
A few things you may not notice which I was happy with the cage was because it was such a tight fit, the cage could actually be 'stitched' (welded) to the body along the A...
Hi there matey, yeah I'm running spacers all round on the Clio. I've got 25mm on the front and 16mm on the rear. The cage is custom indeed, a guy called Mike at Edwards Motorsport near Uxbridge.
Nick
Amen to that matey! Tis a royal pain in the arse!
I may well Pm you in the not too distant future Chris if I definately follow the aftermarket management route. If I can fix this standard loom/ecu without too much money then i'll follow that but I can see it costing a lot more to fix than...
Yeah very happy with the cage Ollie, doesnt look a lot in comparison to some of the other build threads around atm but the chap that did mine basically said... "I can build you a pretty cage with lots of metal which will be heavy and impress everyone, or I can build you a cage that will suit...
Ah there we go then! If the immobiliser doesnt let you communicate with the ECU then that would be the reason why you cant look at anything. When it was plugged in it just came up with an immobiliser problem, when they went to see what else they could see they couldn't see anything. Which is why...
Yeah will put a few more up tomorrow Russ for you, if you've seen my project thread this one was a custom job is so didn't have the pleasure of fitting it! ;)
Yeah plugged it in to Renault Clip which said a fixed immobiliser fault and there's no feed to the ecu. Tried several decoder rings to no avail also.
Got another interior loom from a 172 cup and still came up with the same results. :(
Havent tried a looking for a feed at pin 30, what does that...
Nope, just work hard for a living ;) Tbf it is a lot of money for that, if I could have my standard (adapted) loom sorted and running i'd use that to save time/money/hassle. However I think its more than the loom at there's an immobiliser problem there and no feed to the ECU, plus i've tried a...
Trophy had a better setup for a/b roads rather than track, which is what the 172 Cup and the other Cups were better for. To be honest the differences in times/pace with a normal driver in the car will be negligable anyways so its pretty pointless stating that.
This, but then there are too many people on here that buy trophies and never drive them as intended, plus clean and store them like there a Ferrari F40 or the likes...
Ah top man! Hopefully we can have a go and see whats going on with the loom!
Yeah I know now! :( Was only told what to cut and not to cut but it didnt turn out the right way!
Ah well at least it's an excuse now to have a cleaner, lighter, more reliable setup with an aftermarket ECU and full...
