Ah okay, if you could let the guy know an give him my number that would be cool Jay.
Lol at 2cv racing, a 25 hour race would only be like 5-10 laps of silverstone then! Haha
Was going to put the shell with cage/panels(plus carbon bonnet) with full Perspex throughout up for £2500. That'll come with all the underneath stuff like brake lines, subframe and rear beam, fuel tank and rolling on standard shocks. Also got coilovers, engine, wheels, rear bearings with disks...
Lol! Indeed I have seen the light! Can I get onto the cscc forum? If not let the guy know that the shell (with all panels) with cage and perspex windows are for sale.
Dave - I know you were right in that I should of just bought a pre done one but at the time building one was part of the fun...
Not worth going fast road anymore Jon IMO, with these new MOT laws and having a cage plus needing airbags means i'll be staying to standard road cars that looks nice and drive well as standard.
For the time being I've always wanted an E36 M3 Evo Saloon and my friend has one for sale so going to buy that.
But for a racecar in the future I'll be looking at getting a pre done one or 90% done car.
Was that to me or Tony? If its to Tony there is soo much things that people dont realise you need or have to upgrade for reliability when building a racecar, its all the little things that add up in the end to make a massive amount!
Dave - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2794592.htmNom nom nom, even comes with a trailor! Mwn11 - Will be keeping the seats for the time being, its got an RS-2 on it atm making good power so if someone wanted to finish it it would be indeed a fantastic trackcar or even road car if you put a...
I'll get most of that money back tbh Mark, as the car doesn't run still to get it running and race ready is still going to cost at least £5,000 upwards which I'll never get back and even then I wont be competitive. Having helped the Burpspeed guys and seeing the class' as said earlier I can...
Lol, merely cannot be arsed to spend thousands on a car that won't be competitive! Having thought about the grids in the tintops, being in the 2000cc class is the worst one for being competitive whereas in the 1800cc and 1600cc class you can
be alot more competitive. Especially with a honda...
Your very persistent Dan I'll give you that, yes I might actually sell it now as the interest in building a Clio racecar has gone. Honda's are the way to go I think now.
Dan send me a pm and I'll get back to you.
Nick
Not my bag tbh, wheels dont look right and have poor fitment. Not a fan of the front lights or numberplates either, I think with BMW's im more of an OEM fan than modified in general.
Lol, you may be waiting for an update for a while Russ... Will explain more tonight when im back from work, lets just say i'll be having some ///M Power in my life in the next couple of weeks so this may be delayed a while.
Think you've hit the nail in the head there Russ, I can imagine if the RS2 had a larger carbon airbox it would be better for other work like cams etc but on a standard car it would work as well/loose throttle response as well.
Having driven Daves trophy around a track, that setup is epicly fun to drive and comfy using it day to day. If I had a 182 that's the setup I'd be using.
Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
Just get them fitted! What are these results also regarding the Ktec cams, where can I see the results?
Damn you Russ! Was literally going to the bank to get the money and you got your grubby little mits on it! ;) Looks a fantastic car for the money, with all the goodies as well makes it a true bargain!
Cheers also Tony, near enough force feeding me with all the food you guys put out. Fantastic hosts and brave for doing it!
Good to meet all the guys staying there, all top people and always up for a laugh! Can imagine a CS night out would be messy but absolutely EPIC!
Just like to say how also how good the show was, met quite a few new people and were all sound! Think it was a clever idea starting a little later in the day, prevented people from getting bored too quickly. Also there was a good selection of traders all selling good stuff, most of the time at...
