Ah thanks, when I 1st read the posts I wondered what you were doing induction wise as the bracket was in the way.
AT boddies = very nice. Dont suppose AT want to supply a set to use on my hillclimber as I could carry out plenty of testing for them foc of course :)
As always great work and lots of food for thought for our cars!
Did you want to change the coil pack from a reliability point ? and why did tdf advise to stick with the originals ?
Thanks
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
Looks like there is a stock issue as someone else has been waiting over 4 weeks for a cage, pity as they are a good price and everything else is alot more, even eBay bargains :dapprove:
wheel colour gets my vote!
I'll second that I would add a touch of -ve camber to the front or if you want more add MF springs and uprated rear Koni shocks which I had and are very good, but if you only drive it on the road just have the geometry checked and add 1' neg camber to the front.
Oh MF said not to use polly...
Yep nerves are good once you get going!
I have competed at Caerwent and if my memory serves me right won my class and a mighty cash prize of £100 kinda makes me a professional ;):approve:
Good luck and hopefully will catch you some time this year.
Link would be good thanks
Re dash removal - thanks
I know what you mean about nervous about your next rally as I used to do a few in my historic Cooper S and on the start line of our first event a few years back I pushed the clutch in ready for the countdown marshal but because of nerves my leg was shaking that much...
Hi
I am going to get a new steering wheel but cant make my mind up as to get a flat wheel or dished.
Those of you who have changed theirs do the flat wheels and boss bring the wheel to the original position or do they need a slight dish to bring them level or further forward?
Cheers
Ok fellas I have booked my ph1 172 in for BTB to fit a system to mine and as they will be using mine as a template for the ph1's I get free fitting !!
It's not until 18th feb as they are very busy so I will take plenty of pics and a vid and put them on my blog.
A few updates would have actually have done some work on it but its too bloody cold out on the drive :dapprove:

You could run it in the mod prod class at sprints or hills , there are a few cup cars running in them.
Not sure where you live but if it's up north harewood is one of the best places.
Yeah I need to know as I want to relocate the oddessey battery I bought from you a while back from it's temp position in the engine bay to under the passenger seat on my sprint/hillclimb car.
By the way its been problem free and starts the car fine in this cold weather even though I've not used...
Great work there fellas!
Not sure but the blue book says that batteries should be secured in a non conductive leak proof container ? or does the type of battery your using not need one?
Cheers
"Also got a set of rear 1degree camber shims from Fred whilst i was over there."
Hi I thought these were no longer available? how much are they if you dont mind? pm if you wish.
Nice work :)
I am using koni's on front and rear but with revalved rears to make them stiffer also on standard springs until I get some sorted but very impressed with how my car went at oulton last week in the wet , I would say at least as good as my Trophy was .
Nice work!
I know what you mean re sprints/hillclimbs having done them on and off for years you spend most of the day waiting around to do 5 mins and 4 miles of driving , although it's great fun and can become quite intense as you look for those elusive fractions of a second.
When I did my...
Cheers , I have had a set of rears on my trophy and one of the adjusters wouldn't turn from new and a front and rear set that have been revalved which when I went to stiffen up the rears at my oulton track day found oilcoming from the adjuster shesh!
At least MF sorts them out pronto.
