    Camber and toe recommendations!

-1.5 seems to be the norm for fast road set ups, i had it on mine and really liked it! i believe the sports come with -1.5 camber as standard so you dont really need to play around with the rear unless you want even more!

Re: Emmisions light on, car feels a bit slower and occasional faint burning smelll ?? it may well do if its just on its way out! if it completely dies itll have the above symptoms! also it depends on what lambda on the 182 as there is 2! one pre-cat and one post-cat! when you say the...

    fitting a decat

iirc you need one person reaching down from abouve the car, and one coming up from the bottom. then its just a case of a lot of bad words, extensions and patience! lol good luck and thank the stars you dont have a ph1! as theyre even harder!

    Steering wheel hub

youve killed your squib! that unit does all the electics to your steering wheel, youre shorting wires out when turning hence why the horn is going off!! seeing as its already borken, id pull as much as i can out electrical tape over whats left to keep it out the the way. but youll need a new...

Safe to cut down rear loom?

ive done this in my ph1, i just traced all the unused wires back to the plug to the dash loom and pulled them out! i removed Rear speakers Rear heated Screen Rear Lock Rear wiper Door Sensors Handbrake light Boot light and basically just left the fuel pump and two rear rights!

Handbrake seems to be stuck on.

mine did the same as above!! rear shoes collapsed causing the drum to seize!! try putting it in reverse and being violent with the clutch a few times to see if its just bonded a little, failing that its a lot of hammers and crowbars to get the rear drum off the car!

My first car and first car project. Clio 1.2

overall, im not a fan! wheels are far to in-your-face, 16v badge looks a bit chav, and the black tints just make it look like a van! only get 15"s when you change the wheels and try and go for something a lot more subtle than aftermarket ones!! good luck!

HELP: Stop Light (slightly random) and Engine Mngt (Slightly Random)

the stop and handbrake light is likely to be a "brake fluid low" warning light, the sloshing about when throwing it into bends its probs the cause. have a look at the reseviour and maybe top it up if need be. the engine management light is probs a warning that youre getting incorrect readings...

    legal tyre depth

law is 1.6mm across the central 3/4's of the tyres tyres on the same axle (i.e front left & front right, OR, Rear left & rear right) MUST match. police could easily give you greif for it and insurance would use it as leverage in event of an accident!! and itll fail an MOT. always play by the...

    Tidy rear end!

as opposed to spending £40 on a new badge that offers no difference what so ever other than a slightly 'cleaner' rear end?? i personally like the dewipered look, i personally think that dirty great wiper ruins the symetry of the car, and tbh, have never missed having a rear wiper on any of my...

Does No One Wave / Flash Back?

i think its just what the world is becoming! nobody wants to talk to each other anymore! i used to get a wave in my valver when i saw another one, but tbh, i could count the times i actually saw another valver on the road on one hand!

    Gains to be made?

Manifold, filter, exhaust and map will of course get you a few gains..... however it will only be around 10bhp, and cost you about £800 to buy, and thats assuming you can fit it all yourself. and assuming youre quite a young driver it will hike your insurance astronomically. just pick your...

Total loss of power to passenger door (window, mirror and central locking)

id also agree. its likely that the clip has come loose to the door loom and thats caused a bad connection. you should be able to see the connection, its like a rubber pipe going from the door to the shell, it should have a clip that slides down on the chassis end to secure it to the car. Also...

    Yet another 1.2 Grande thread.

defs go for the dual optics over standard front headlight, theyre a million times better! as for wheel, i think the standard ph2 sport wheels look kinda ghey, go for OZ F1's off the ph1 sports, they will suit the car a lot better!! looks tidy though, exactly the same as my first clio!

    What is this?

well translation implies its a timer/delay switch! where does the wiring go?
  22. Struggler

    carbon canister

iirc it vents fumes from the petrol tank into the inlet manifold to stop them escaping and poluting the atmosphere! it can be binned but may bring up an engine fault. you'll also have to plug up a log of the vacuum lines that go too and from it!

welcome to cliosport! do you mean that the bonnet release leave is NOT working?? what happens when you pull the leaver? it might be worth trying to pull the leave whilst tring to pull the bonnet up as they can easily get jammed!

    Post crash advice!

or buy the cup and move as many of the good parts from your existing cup over to make it as nice as possible and break the remainder of your cup to get some money back!

    Gains to be made?

why would you want to boost a 1.6 clio?? just buy a 200/197. youll save money and have a much better car! power mods on lower powered cars is a massive waste of money!! especially considering youll also (i hope) upgrade the suspension and brakes etc. but something thats already quick and enjoy it!

    Parts Stolen **Clio Trophy**

why did the alarm not go off?? and it must have been someone who knew something about clios, to know where the bolts to take the seats out are!! so id be looking at any owners of modded clios in the area.

    My track car, nearly finished!!

the wheels are valver ph2 wheels, i only put them on to begin with as they already had parada spec2s on them but tbh the looks grown on me, looks oem but still different! its sat on gaz coilovers, and as for weight, i have no idea how much has been removed, i didnt weigh everything that came...

    My track car, nearly finished!!
