if its cut through the cords then get it changed ASAP, but if its just the surface rubber it should be ok. The MOT manual allows for cuts upto 25mm that are not deep enough to expose the cord.

DCI egines are pretty damn good, but for proper power you need at least a 2.2 upwards, the V6 dci espace goes like stink for a big motor.

Same thing happens to mine when I clean it under the bonnet, yes I know I shouldn't but it gets dirty! LOL The actual running fault should clear fine, but will need re-seting with the CLiP system. I charge £17.01 + VAT for a CliP test (19.99), I doubt it will need anything else doing.
