I don't really get the whole Impreza/Subaru thing, but I'd have a standard, mint Impreza series Mcrae - he was without doubt my childhood hero, and I always wanted one when I was younger. By no means the 'best' Impreza, but my favourite for sure! Wouldn't own one now, just because of the massive...
I've just realised, it was your car I saw parked in the Trafford Centre all those months ago... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?606157-Blue-Low-non-sport-L14-S**-Trafford-Centre-carpark
It did look good!
That was just before my MX5 got pinched actually :( *sigh*
I did that when I had my Clio, except didn't stop... The damage happens when you reverse :( cracked bumper & ruined paint. The splitter would be the least of your worries!
It's just the three or four big jobs that are going to hike the price up. The rest might not happen - depending on work during the summer, the running gear might just get thrown into a 205 shell... That's something I'd Love to do and may have the opportunity to do if I'm lucky! Will have to see...
Crank Seal leak
Inlet cam timing possibly out
Needs a cambelt, aux belt & tensioners
Faulty passenger dipped beam light/wire
Knackered air vents on the centre console
Knackered heater controls
Rust.
Track rod end needs replacing, probably along with a number of other bushes
Torn seat material...
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered. Pictures at the docks added.
Looks fantastic Chris; brilliant spec, I don't think you could have done it better. Looking forward to seeing some decent pictures of it!
^+1!
Hope it's out soon... having said that, I'd rather they made a good job of it than rushed it.
Can't believe how well they've managed to keep everything under wraps!
I think 16" is going to be a bit too small for a MK3, especially if you plan on lowering it a lot. You might get away with it, but Borbet A's tend to look better in bigger sizes IMO.
£270 isn't bad though (depending on condition), and I imagine you wouldn't have much trouble selling them on if...
Fair point.
But IMO the one in your OP screams 90's MaxPower. Surely anyone with any sort of taste (which I know you have, having seen your Pole Positions/V6) would think it just looks ridiculous? It's just too OTT...
SRS question; do you think that this:
looks as good as/better than this:
It looks like a chavs MaxPower wet dream!
The rear end looks weird without lights, and doesn't match the front at all IMO.
I can appreciate it's been done to a very high standard, and I'm sure it cost him tens of...
I'd get them in 15" probably. Maybe 16" depends on what's available at the time...
I don't like MO6's, they've got one too many spokes! Very common on GTI-6's too.
Don't like Prima Racing ones as they stick out so much! SL Chronos are okay, but remind me of 106's a bit too much.. 2118's are definitely an option - think they'd suit it quite nicely tbh.
SL434's are about £4/500 for a decent set IIRC
That's 2 to 1. I'll take that
Next wheels:
SL434's (Without the chrome/polished rim)
or
'97 Peugeot 306 GTi-6 P1 by j0eyD, on Flickr
MO5's
It did look good on the Compomotives, but it's been done on this car before ...
Lol! Opinions are like arseholes etc.
I'm not bothered if nobody likes them, and I do agree that it looks a bit like a chavved up DTurbo. But cyclones look so dull and the spokes are a bit too thin for a Ph1 IMO. They just don't quite look right to me.
Yes yes yes yes, 205 wheels are wrong etc. I know!
If you'd read a few pages back you could see that I got them with brand new tyres for less than a set of 4 brand new tyres. So they were essentially free.
After I've sorted the cambelt and possibly sorted the leak (depending on how bad it is)...
