I remember when I did my first 14.0 a chap wouldn't believe my engine was internally standard lol. Good time considering its your first go at it dude :)
Done some research and i may have an issue with this one.
As far as i can tell, these new models dont use tomtom home - and again from what i have read, there are issues with downloading new maps on these - so much that 90% of recommendations are not to buy a 'new' model, and buy a new older...
I think its circa £650-700 from the various specialists here.
My old silver one was rattling its arse off at 120k, but my black one was over 140k when i sold it and was quiet as a mouse
Had plenty of Ashley systems, were great - had to fit them with a hammer mind, and being steel only lasted 20k or so, but they were cheap to buy so that wasn't an issue lol.
Made some great noises, infact my first Mk1 Hybrid had an Ashley system (I put 2 on that)
Sorry to ask as i know its been asked a hundred times already (I did search but couldnt find what i wanted)
Basically, I have an anchent TT one ed3, and its great. It does what i need and has been very reliable.

Brilliant cars, right back to my youth that lol - mates had 2 identicle white ones - when like a scalded cat too.
I had a mk2 Astra with a Sri 130 engine in - loved that car
Tolerances are much much better today than they were years ago, as are materials and production processes - once warm drive it how you wish, it will be fine.
Lovely car, and drives like new - genuinely decent car!

ITb's will only loose you mpg as you will be botting it to hear the noise lol - i actually got a few mpg more with my itbs when driving carefully.
As said, you will have somewhere around the 170ish bhp.
A good level to get for £1000 would be:
Ph1 172 airbox (cheap @ £60 new, and is a good...
My mate didn't cut the door bars, it came like it as said it apparently was a nightmare getting in and out.
Cage was built by a company in Scotland, was going to be their show car to show what they can do, then was a drift car, and now is my mates toy.
Will grab some more pictures soon.
Its a...
Some cars are not too bad, the F4R engine is very specific on it's timing, and to time them correctly you need:
a) the correct Renault locking tools
and
b) know the f**k what you are doing
We have heard of plenty of Renault garages timing up cars wrong - specialists here are worth their...
Every 1*2 iv driven, and iv driven alot, there is no 'every 182 is faster than 172'
These cars differ so much, as Dan has suggested cambelt fitted wrong will loose 25bhp, some are abused and give less, some are abused and go like rockets - luck of the draw - you may have a 'good one' or your...
Thought id throw up a few pictures, some may of seen it at Combe.
E34 5 series.
4.0 V8 out of a 540
Manual box conversion
Ignore the wiring - it is all being stripped out and we are making a custome loom for it.
Cage goes through bulkhead to strut tops too
Total overkill (he bought it with the...
Its not as bad as it looks lol, and drives very nice for the age
Less than you would spend on a night out
Tidy up the rough bits - it should tidy up quite nicely, and track it - cheap cars ar ethe best ;)
