Awesome right up, I went last year and gagging to go back again. Was a life changing trip for me. Oh and I know that feeling you get once you get home :(
Just double checking, according to procedure its just the crank pin needed for timing. Just wondering whether the actual bottom pulley is keyed or a fully floating setup?
I've had both originally started with a phase 2 172 then onto a 197 and now I've got a trophy.
197 is a great car and really well put together and feels more like a modern day car in terms of comfort and build quality. Also the chassis is awesome, just so planted and neutral and not as skippy...
The trophy is running Sachs dampers (refurbed by CF), eibach sportlines and pure motorsport top mounts.
At low speeds I get a slight knock over bumps/uneven ground. Every ball joint, trackrod inner and out and bush has been replaced and there's no play in nothing and everythin is tight.
Car...
They aren't exactly difficult providing you have the correct tooling and procedures.
There not much different to your average zetec se due to non of the pulleys being keyed.
Never heard of them being replaced a lot, probably down to the fact the engine doesn't produce great amounts of torque.
Mines done 88 and still feels positive.
I used them for a while on my old 172, didn't seem to wear to bad but as said wet grip wasn't the best but it was acceptable but in the dry they were great!
Good value for money.
I had a 172 then a 197 and back to a 182 and must I say I prefer the ph2 sport so much better. My 197 made 194.6bhp and was great in the bends and so much more refined but it was no quicker then the 182 maybe even a little slower.
The 197/200 weighed more too but to me there a bit of a...
Basically wanting to find out what thread a standard Clio lambda sensor is without taking the car to pieces. Reason asking is I'm after some sort of bung to pop in the lambda boss.
Cheers guys
Well its time to get a new exhaust system for the 182. I've already got a sleeved 2.25 decat and really like the janspeed stuff so going to go for that.

This is the system I'm going to go for, just not sure whether to...
After some advice really chaps, I'd really love a DSLR after seeing some friends and some of you guys produce some great images but using them and producing good images seems a art form plus I really want something compact.
So whats out there at the minute point and shoot wise that'll turn out...
Oxyacetylene mate you need it cherry red if its that tuff or maybe try some big stilsons or if ya handy with a grinder put a slit down the nut to relief it but just be careful not to damage drumstick threads
Some great advice and opinions chaps, part of me is saying go for the sportlines as it'll be more suited for day to day and more pleasurable on the road but when pushed it'll be nice and capable, other half is saying MF just for the slightly lower stance.
I fitted some cooksports on a 172 for a...
Well me trophies dampers are due back anytime soon from cornering force. Now I fancy some different springs to give it a slightly better ride height/tyre wheel arch clearance.
Now I was set on the mark fish springs but hear of a few guys running sportlines. What are the main differences...
Looks great that does, really got a soft spot for these since a good friend of mine had one.
Those seats are great, my mate had them in black. So much better then the standard items.
Quick tip, makesure the drain holes for the roof motor/pump are clear. I've changed two of these now due to...
Well made the most of having the missus's 107 today and drove 100 mile to see Simon at cornering force to drop my Sachs dampers with him.
What a great place he's got and quite a nice countryside backdrop. What a top guy to really took the time to explain what's involved and and the common...
My old 197 was a cracking car, handling was awesome and easily one of the best front wheel drive cars I'd driven but I'd seriously consider a Megane.
Sheer fact the Megane isn't much worst on fuel and there's so much more scope for tuning if that's what your into. Also with similar if not the...
