Well been a bit quiet the past month with moving into our new house, having to fix the missus's car and just everything that could have cropped up and gone wrong in the past month has so the cars been on the back burner but I had a bit of free time so I cracked on.
To begin with I finally got...
Dents 8 in Birmingham, me best mate works there and his quality of finish is awesome and I've seen some s**t over the years in the motor trade. There really competitive and there's always some tasty supercar exotica in there to drool over.
Made me laugh.
I paid around 70 quid a few years back to have some ats cup wheels done at a local machine shop, doing it with a drill or dermal is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard tbh.
Yeah it was local to me, chatted to the guy on here via pm a few times, seems a sound guy. Used to see his missus driving it around, always stud out with the recaros and how clean it was. Loverly car you got there.
Well bit of a let down this week, was hoping to get all my goodies popped on this week. Long story but I'll tell it anyway, the missus owns a 107. The clutch had started to slipped so checked all adjustments with manufactures spec and still slipping so I thought not to worry I'll grab a clutch...
Haha sound I'll drop her at work and bring it straight down to ya bud and it can stink your workshop out instead of my car lol.
Yep tell me about it, makes me wonder what s**t they churn out now days!
I've pulled the box out already Fred, what sort of costs we looking? I'll bring it straight to you, I brought those arms to you other week if you remember me lol
Right then folks, today I decided to change the clutch the missus Peugeot 107.
Upon inspection I noticed oil leak between the bell housing and engine so I grabbed a rear main oil seal before I started stripping it.
On closer inspection turns out the leak is coming from the gearbox side...
The kits about 26 quid from Renault contains the rubbers, clamps and nuts.
I'm currently doing similar, I have bought.
Inner track rods
Track rod ends
Rack mounts
Bottom ball joints
Power flex bushes
Yeah cooksports are great, I fitted a set last weekend to a 172 and I was pleased with the product and having met josh I know he knows what he's on about and is a sound guy.
I'm lead to believe they are around 220? And that they are matched to the Sachs dampers in term of springs rates etc but...
Not yet, I'll be ordering them end of the month no doubt.
I've read a lot of good stuff about them over on trophy.net and they give slightly lower stance over the sportlines after seeing pictures.
Well nothing to exciting for now down to the s**t weather and a hangover, but I'm off all week thanks to me shift pattern so they'll be plenty of action this week hopefully.
I did however collect me wishbones from the powder coaters :)
All welded, powder coated and powerflex fiited :)
I've stuck with karcher due to the fact I've only just bought a autobrite snow foam lance that's compatible and for 36 quid for a recon unit with guarantee you can't go far wrong
