It's normal mate, the car has an internal venting system which vents oil vapour back into the inlet. Nothing to worry about

If it was me going aftermarket, id be very tempted to stump for TDF's kit mate, might be a little more expensive than going 2nd hand, but the kit is such a well proven product it would be very hard not to get it - and if im honest it wouldnt work out being that much more expensive than sorcing...

You have covered the basics mate, you will also need a wiring loom for the ECU, a ph1 throttle pedal, a throttle cable, inlet manifold,coil pack bracket and an air filter. Would be good to get a catch tank also.

You can do either mate, you can get aftermarket ball boints if just want to replace them, in the past iv done the wishbones as im overkill lol
