As above, all Clio's are technically a 1.1 anyway even the mk2's as they are 1149cc.

Think I paid around £300 for cambelt and waterpump on the 1.2, that was around about 50k but it was 5yrs old. Having said that though you can get a 1.2 16v engine and box off ebay for £100! I should have just nitroused up the old one and hoped for the best!

As Fred says you can get a secondhand engine and box for £100 off ebay, just stick a 50bhp shot of NOS on it and hope for the best!

They do a Mk2 ph1 Clio with the 1.2 16v engine and the Dynamique interior, these were the end of line models and normally on a Y plate and I believe they were called a Clio 'Sport'. I think your probably looking for a rep though.
