    Im back....... with project Zero

The name pulses out a huge amount of awesome lol. Cheers fella, iv got a few ideas up my sleeve for this one, main thing is iv got too much going on to throw a load of cash at it, so im planning what I can do for the tiny budget iv got set aside for it. One thing it will be is light lol

    Phase 1 172 exhaust choice's !?

They are not big, 2 inch i think? Also they do a stealth exhauat which hides it completely - win win. Id never turn down the best Clio exhaust for another on the basis the other has a better tailpipe - no offence intended mate just my opinion :)

    Phase 1 172 exhaust choice's !?

I spent years messing about with other exhausts just to have them knock or blow or snap (I went through 3 blueflame systems alone) and in the end I bit the bullet and bought a Yozza - then slapped myself for not buying one in the first place - it took ten mins to fit and i never touhed it again...

    tuning/re map

It depends how much you want to go, a nice set of cams with a decent map can give great gains and make a good difference, and put you up to over a genuine 190bhp and that is a good chunk of power in a car weighing 1100kgs - plus it will still do 35mpg all day and behave in traffic - see Fred...

    tuning/re map

Matt didn't have prices or power claims on his site last time i looked mate? Firstly welcome:) Sadly, there has been a general idea that has come from tuners who massively overestimate power gains for Clios. Your 182 will have around 175bhp - the exhaut might have got you an exra few bhp...

    rolling road results. Not good!!

Could be valve leakage, Andy's (aka sharky) Trtophy which Ktec (Ahem) carried out an itb conversion on was putting out circa 150bhp before the itbs (Which was apparently normal...) had a bit of a valve leak (2 valves from memory) which TDF sorted out Id say timing first though :)

    Sir_Dave's Trophy. 1 x Miley Shed.

Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon Pretty much as far as you can go sensibly before spending out big bucks then - good overal setup me thinks :) You could have the inlets taken out a bit if they are standard RS ones and net a few more bhp - Id leave the cat in...

    Sir_Dave's Trophy. 1 x Miley Shed.

Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon M3's are great (as you know) but hence why iv got another Ph1, is bang for £ cheap cars are great :D lol. - You need to decide if what the M3 gives over the Clio is worth the extra money buying, running and modifying - id say...

Neighbours morning about my yozza decat

Just keep polite as you have done - he has said not to worry about it, and as you have to live next to them just try to keep the revs down

    Sir_Dave's Trophy. 1 x Miley Shed.

Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon I always found the standard sized discs and calipers hold up very well :) Do you feel like it warrants the extra power mate? Bearing in mind it will be at least £1500 odd to get anything decent out of it?

    rolling road results. Not good!!

Checking a cambelt has been done

Good tip Danny, i didnt have an extension to hand the first time i took one off, that was a struggle lol

Checking a cambelt has been done

The mounts are easy to change too, only problem iv ever had is getting the box mount off as they are usually pretty well on

    cooling and idle

What do you mean by rough idle mate? they all have a little rough idle, but are we talking lumpy idle? to be honest id not look to do anything else, they are great fun in near standard form and very forgiving - you need that at the ring! i loved my williams there

Checking a cambelt has been done

yes mate, support with a jack, undo the top mount and the 3 bolrs on top of the belt cover
  22. R

    rolling road results. Not good!!

this. it might grab 5 bhp but not 30. id say if the graph is smooth and the cam timing is ok then id say rolling road is out/not being used correctly or something is a miss - possibly an internal problem. what i would do is get the timing double checked unless it was done by a known specialist...
  23. R

Checking a cambelt has been done

Id whip the top belt cover off, easy to do once the engine mount is off and have a look at the belt
  24. R

    rolling road results. Not good!!

Well cam timing is one reason, they need the correct locking tools to time right and a lot of normal garages dont have them. next thing is was it definately at the fly and not at the wheels? thirdly how accurate is the rolling road? has it been calibrated recently? also you never know but you...

    Im back....... with project Zero

Yeah it's in ok condition mate, the bumper needs alighning, the drivers seat is worn on the bolster, the steering wheel is a bit fooked, but generally nothing out the ordinary for the age/miles. Will do perfectly for what I want, my old one I couldn't strip etc as I was too attached to how it...

    Im back....... with project Zero

    High Milage 172

When mine sold it was 139k and the box was still lovely, it does depend how they have been looked after.

    Im back....... with project Zero

No idea on power output, knowing what maps give id say somewhere around standard power. unlike my last one im not chasing power, so i doubt anything will be done engine wise, though i do have a few ideas up my sleeve with what i want to do with it :)
