They can do, but normally it's only slightly out, which gives poor performance (Thats why half pf 172's only make 150something bhp) so im sure if you can't here any worrying knocking/tapping noises then she will be fine fella :)
The 'cold' limiter is 6500 rpm so its not that.
They do run lumpy from cold and can give a little 'stutter' as it clears its throat, but with that fault code it points towards the front lambda probe
Id look at cam timing mate, usual culprit, and in my experience they are flat until higher revs - I think my projects timing is slightly out.
Plus if it was chav owned, the chances of it being done properly is low.

I had a set of these on mine, only because they were a lot cheaper than Renault wanted for a genuine set.

The Elise is being sold, I don't want it to but Im wanting to expand my business, and we are now looking to move house so the money from selling the Elise is needed for that.

Also when you fit it, make sure you get it at the right angle where it leaves the engine bay and enters the interior - some of the ones iv fitted the main reason was the cable had come unclipped and swisted itself into a right funny angle - it should be curved as smoothly as possible to avoid...
Looks like to me it was snap oversteer (the car was coming from oversteer the other way at the start of the vid) and he simply had a little too much throttle and steering lock. I expect if he didn't have ABS that would have span clean and not hit anything.
