Sounds like a windows related issue rather than your dvd writer , especially if its still burning cd's. Did you try uninstalling / reinstalling shrink , or look for a newer version of shrink . Clonedvd's better than shrink imo , a couple of clicks and its done :) I've never pulled a laptop...

I wash my megs lambswool mitt in warm water soapy water ( washing up liquid ) rinse through with cold water then leave to dry naturally .

Yep thats the name for it , scuttle panel, i couldn't remember for the life of me the name .

Its in the engine bay (drivers side ) on the opposite side to where the screen wash bottle is under a black plastic cover , behind the brake fluid bottle ,held down with some clips .

Brass is a good conductor of electricity , must have been sending an electrical impulse thro' the brass when it was touchin the heat shield .?? Couldn't you have just bagged it up ? I've never had my lambda sensor disconnected so i'm not sure what problems that can occur other than the wrong...

I sold my 172 private on autotrader in February for £5900 a dealer offered me £4000 , i said are you havin a laugh and told em to forget it . If you can sell private do it ,you'll have alot more cash for your new motor :)

Got your pm mate . F*ck that sounds expensive just to reroute the wiring . Was the lambda sensor just tied up out of the way before ? One consolation , if it was that , is that it wasn't anything major f*cked up with the engine causing the problem .

The prices of 182's will drop whether there is a new clio RS model out or not , but imo the new mk3 RS won't affect the price of 182's much if any because its a completely different car , not like when they updated from the 172 to the 182 which was basically the same car revamped a little ...

How come you went for a red hillpower bend , don't that think a black one with the strutbrace sprayed black would match the rest of the engine bay better ? Looks good though :)

A good tip when your puttin in new plugs is to use a piece of 10mm plastic tubing on the end of the plug to start it on the threads , don't use the plug socket straight away . Then if you do cross thread it it spins on the end of the plug and won't let you screw it in , if it does go on the...

I wouldn't have thought so . If you don't have a changer which was optional i wouldn't think you would have the wire from the back of the head unit . If you've got a 172 it'll probably have the tuner list headunit , cd changers are cheap as chips on ebay ,the alpines ones , maybe a renault...

Has somebody had the seats out , previous owner ? If you've got wires not connected and the lights on the dash for your airbag sounds like the connectors for the airbag on both seats have been disconnected for some weird reason ! I can't remember from memory , are the connectors orange or...

I haven't been in the back seat for ages . But from memory i think my middle one is black for the seat belt that pulls down . Its probably so ya know which one is for the middle and whch one is for the side seat belt.

If its not detrimental to the cars performance i'm unsure whether to let the renault monkeys start grinding away at the strut mounts , they'll probably only cause some other problem when i got the car back ,lol . Mine seems to do it more when its cold , not been driven all night and straight...

Apparently its a common fault reading other threads on here . Mine does it and its only done 862 miles .
