Lots of people have on the forum. If you like ur clio's your only other option is a 1.6 and although they're a good upgrade, there not 1*2 pace.
And also its only as fast as you put your foot down. plenty of people have safely made the change
When i get my sport i'm definately having it decat'd they sound awsome and make it more driveable. Can always find someone willing to bodge an mot for you. or just stick it back on whist you have mot
Re: rear brake disc convertion!
There are little benifits of the rear disk converison tbh mate. Just get the big brake kit off ktecs website, the fronts do most of the braking anyway.
Foxy had the ktec big brake kit with standard rear drums, i'm sure that was a better setup than just standard...
As above realy. Although i've had that on my car and its a 2005 with 36k on with fsh so it shouldnt be a headgasket issue. I had my car serviced and asked the mechanic and he said nothing to worrie bout just condensation.
That corsa must have been a beast. Its something that i'd have a play with in my 1.2 16v thinking it was a 1.2/4 and just get owned. Although with corsa's you never know whats under the bonnet.
Tbh i'm keeping mine standard i think and saving for a sport. If i don't get a sport next year i will lower it and put a ktec induction kit on just for some sound. But only mods that are easily reversible because mygoal is to be in my own mint 182 within 2 years. Thats when the (tasteful) mods...
Some bad ones here. I didnt take any pics of mine as it went in for repair the next day. I couldnt take any pics i was so gutted. Needed a wing, bumper and headlight. Renault had it on their ramp the other day and said it was fine though, they said its been in an accident, not a big one and...
Well with springs your limited to -40mm. With coilovers providing they are well set up will give better handling than springs and will go down to -80mm i think. H & R's are suposed to be your best bet, but this comes at a price.
Tyres to hard would be worse i'd of thought.
Tbh driving quick in the rain is a no go for me, obviously a 172 handles better than mine but in the wet no car will handle as it does in the dry.
Just best to take it easy, you don't lose the back end for nothing, its either crap tyres, a...
I did breifly pop in to get some crisps, didnt see u in there though u drove off a minute or two after i came out so couldnt of missed u by much, do you work local?
I got quoted £12500 on a vee the day after i passed my test off money supermarket, needless to say i didnt accept the quote, and went and bought my lil 1.2 16v insted. i never had any intention of buying a vee at 17 i was just curious.
As above, i was on the carpark eating lunch and noticed your car then you got in it and drove off. The yozza and decat sounded good when you drove off.
Have seen f0xy around there too in the past, i work on newton high street so its only 5 mins away.
I did the same but not as badly it sounds, it was on renualts ramps the other day and they said are you aware its been in a crash, not a very bad one and everythings fine, but we thort we'd let you know i was like erm yeh :o
