1.1 saxo's are suprisingly quick if you rev the b****cks of them. My clio 1.2 16v is slower than Corsa sxi's (all my mates have them), slower than a 1.25 Fiesta Zetec too. They sure aren't quick.

Love it! All comments about the mirrors: At least it isn't lowered on turini's like every other Clio.

Just come back from a blast accross the peak district in my 1.2 16v and I love it! Its nippy enough with just me in it and you can still overcook it in the twisties, enough power to put a smile on my face, and I only used a tenners worth of petrol (did 80 miles).

They want £15 for abit of tiny silver plastic! You have to be joking!

Hard to describe, prob more burning oil..... It doesn't leak any oil on the drive, and I ve never checked the gearbox oil. I guess this would be a big job if the seal has gone??? EDIT: It doesn't smell all the time, just did it tonite, I assume because I was caning it.

Abit more reaserching and it appears that reverse is bottom right in a dci, therefore this insert would be no good to me..

Ok im after a silver gear knob insert for my 1.2 16v........I have found one but its coming off a 1.5 dci, do they have the same shift pattern as the 1.2 16v, is reverse in the top left hand corner (lift up). Cheers, Alex

I ve got a nasty feeling my clutch could be on the way out, its only done 55k though (1.2 16v). Its not slipping at all, even when you stick it in 5th at 20mph and floor it the speedo just climbs inline with the revs.... The biting point is quite near the top though, nearer than it used to be I...

Lucky git! I went to the scrappers near me and there was a 55 plate (rolled) clio in there and someone had already nabbed the dash trims and gear knob insert! :dapprove:

Oh rite, I had that, cut a section out of the mat now and sewed the edging back on, looks fine, felt a rite tit at the time though. Yeah its at 6200rpm. No point reving it that high I find, runs out of steam at 5500...
