The bloke found a reciept for some eibach springs fitted at KTEC and some new engine mounts. He told me it had a full racing suspension kit (its back on standard springs) and racing engine mounts. Just ended up feeling sorry for him!
Just test driven it :race:!
'Kin quick is all im saying, lit the front wheels up in 2nd, wasnt expecting that! Apparently the last owner was a right anorak the bloke said!
The 1.2 didnt feel as slow as I thought it would, although I need a 172 in my life now!
Do you think they are still open now?! Might pop down there tommorow, problem is I know if i do I will want one badly, and I have to keep the 1.2 16v until bloody July, got overtaken by a 206cc on the by pass earlier I wasnt really going for it but embarressing all the same. Owned him round the...
Lol I spotted it first :rasp:
Drove past it about 10mins ago, looks lonely. Yeah they haven't got a clue in there wasnt so long ago that they were selling garden furniture! Tempting but not at that price.
If it was the same size as the otherside it would look good as I prefer the font.
I prefer discreet badging, its like those new astras with the mahoooosive vauxhall badge on the back, as if owning a vauxhall was something to be proud of!
If I was you I would take all the badges off the back...
Look hard you can get a minter for £2800, there are plenty of overpriced ones out there. Theres a nice 1.6 16v for sale on here for £3250 with some nice mods.
Yes. You buy it cheap, you sell it cheap, no probs. Can make quite a good saving but photos and details of the garages used are a must.
The V6's have such expensive panels it only takes a bird to s**t on it and its a cat D. Nobody will know its a catergorised car and you still get your dream motor.
Ok cheers guys, that clears it up, it appears mine is set correctly although in future I will adjust it when carrying large loads back from uni. I will tell my brother to adjust his back to 0 as he never tows in his clio, he's only had it a few weeks.
Sorry if this is a repost.
On the little panel to the right of the steering wheel what setting should the headlights be set at for normal driving as mine appears to be set to 0 and my brothers is set to 3 (both clios).
I think I mite have adjusted mine by accident when cleaning the dash...
Clio looks low, wheels aren't my thing, bit big if you ask me, looks sweet though. Im tempted by an Ignis Sport but they look rubbish, Evo really rate them though and they are cheap. A mate of mine nearly bought one but ended up buying an end of line MG ZR 105, think he regrets it abit now.
Looking clean mate, I was going round the roundabout then left past the School, not sure whether you saw me or not, you looked right at me though! The colour looks stunning!
What a transformation! Looks to be about 200 notes for the exclusive detail, good value for money in your case as you will get it back when you come to sell it.
Very nice, I think the seats are meant to be reminiscent of the original MK1 Gti, I can't decide on them. Black looks good, but i really want a white one with the larger wheels :)
I ve seen it a few times, but yesterday was the first time I noticed the CS sticker in the rear window, could have been put on by a previous owner I guess.
This was my plan Chris! If I end up keeping the 1.2 another year im going to get coilovers, bucket seats, strip the rear, colour coded, wheels refurbed in white and door badges and dash trims in white too. Depends on insurance and finances, if I had a summer as good as last year I will get a 172.
