The brakes in the 1.2 16v I learnt in were really sensitive and overly sharp, but in my own 1.2 16v their less so, having said that I probably need new pads.
Christchurch and Nottingham, but I do a fair bit of driving around the midlands. I just remember seeing a Clio in that colour with those wheels, no idea where though!
A 1.2/ 1.4 is never going to be as fast as an RS but at the end of the day they are effectively the same chassis, so on a twisty country lane the 1.2 is going to be as fun to drive due to its light weight and chuckability. A 172 will have more power to pull itself out of a corner but its...
I want one of these badly, the same as middo's old car.
Found one here, but £175! That is silly money, I know they are rare but does anyone know any cheaper stockists?

The gearbox is shite, I had a Polo before and the gearbox on that was alot tighter and more precise. I hate the change on my Clio. The clutch is heavy compared to similar cars, but at least I will be used to it when I get a lambo Diablo lol! I would prefer a heavier clutch than an overly light...
Probably better than my proxes in the wet! Had abit of an incident in the peak district where the back end tried to overtake the front end! Luckily I corrected it
I ve got a few parking dents on mine and a scratch and im really careful where I park it. When I first got it I was super protective, if someone walked past and farted I would go nuts!
At the end of the day though cnuts like this will end up damaging it, and unless you put it in a garage...
Quite a road trip then, have they got something you want to partex for yours?
Theres a few stories about them in 'the funniest thing you have ever been told by a dealer' thread. I ve never had an issue in them but I find them abit patronising, almost rude to be honest.

The figures I gave for the 1.2 8v and 16v were for the mk2 ph2 and out of Renaults own brochure. The figures I gave for the 1.4 were for the mk2 ph1 (can't get a 1.4 8v ph2) and were from www.parkers.co.uk.
Out of interest a Mk2 ph1 1.4 8v is quicker to 60 by almost a second in comparison to the...
Whats the difference, wheres the best place and price, and which ones do I need for my 2001 mk2 ph2?
Are these any good?

I like it, if it was mine I would spray the gold bonnet vent and gold diamond black. Remove the sunstrip. And get a tiny front number plate like Carbon Copy's with standard font.
