First car was my mk2 vtr, brought it of the sales maneger at abp motorsport in crewe. Let me go over it with a fine tooth comb an stayed in touch for a while. 2nd car was my ph2 172, brought from local peugeot dealer through a friend. Were fairly decent took there time getting it to me but...
I made me own as daft as it sounds, got a sfs 90 degree elbow the right bore an fitted a union on the underside for the oil breather. So much cheaper an just as good in my opinion. Heres a picture of it fitted.
Bit on the cheap side for one of them?
There good cars but most the reviews reckon there not as good as the old EP3 type R's. Plus I feel honda's lack personality, maybe its just my opinion but I went to swap my old ph2 172 for an EP3 type R annerversary. Don't get me wrong the build...
Just read through the whole thread, hats off to you, some really skilled work going in there. Good to see fresh idea's instead of the usual clio tuning routes many take on here. Deffintly subscribed.
Fair play dude, doubt the rears would really give you too much greif as the braking is front biased as you no doubt know, but suppose its worth it just for piece of mind. Good luck fella
had a similar problem on an old saxo vtr i had in the past, turned out to be the cts (coolant tempreture centre) was faulty an when i was reading the parameters it was saying -32 degrees causing the engine to overfuel an not want to start!
Well a good friend of mine has organised it, he usual goes around 4 to 5 times a year bit of a veteran an holds a race license (not sure what class or anything). I've paid 157 pound for 3 nights acomadation an 67 quid for me ferry so the rest is spends an me euro breakdown cover an alteration...
Or if you leave the car on the ground an crack it off before you jack it up they sometimes come undone or like danny said an impact gun will buzz um off
Don't bother replacing the manifold, from what i've read there pretty good as standard an theres some decent powered cars on here that see to be fine with the standard one. Plus replacing the exhaust manifold will also require dropping the subframe down. As for induction kits phase 1 airboxs...
Got some braided hoses to go on which tbh I should of done with me brakes but I had other stuff to do. But I've just booked a trip to the ring in july so end of month I'll be changing me cambelt an water pump an aux kit (now that renault have got me my special tooling I wanted) an a good...
Well bin a while since last update but bin busy with other stuff (work, fixing others motors etc), well on me last update I mentioned I'd brought some ds2500 front pads as I didn't rate the standard stuff. Well no wonder I didn't rate um, front pads looked low so I thought I'd better get me...
Don't ktec list standard mounts? If so use them for a rough guide on take a look on www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk there dead helpful an usually cheaper then the dealer plus they have alot of parts online listed
lol bless, if your gonna get ya hands dirty with motors you'll get plenty more of them. Me being a mechanic i do it all time without relising now! Car coming on nice though so you may have cut up hands but atleast you'll have summit to show ha
its scary aint it, I have a lot of mates in birmingham an I live around 24miles from them. To go to see them an get home costs me atleast a 10-15 quid. I only use the car now when i need to an try to use the missus car more which is awesome on petrol
lol i got mine doing 36mpg on a run but thats really driving like a fag, cc set to 56mph! the old 172 would do better sitting at 80mph all day! Yeah the 182/172's are cracking cars!

I had those mounts fitted an tbh there a complete overkill, never would i fit them again i don't think. The whole interior sounded like a bumble bee on tick over an as DannyR said the standard ones are plenty adequte
