Any idea what my tyre pressures should be on the front wheels, not standard 15" alloys and toyo proxes, says max 44psi on the side wall, this seems high...... Any advice gratefully received.
Thats a relief it appears im not alone then, being having tremendous trouble with this after the last few days see this thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=186601
Going for a 4 wheel alignment tommorow to see if that makes any difference, just taken my housemates Vectra (oh...
Theres a tasty blue one at a garage local to me:

look under vehicle list, its very clean I looked it over the other day, been for sale for a while so they might come down on price.
EDIT: Just seen Middo's selection this ones well overpriced, like the colour though!
On a straight road with no camber like a freshly surfaced car park, if you let go off the wheel whilst going straight surely the wheel shouldnt turn to the left a little but stay pointing dead ahead.
I guess they are alot cheaper than a meg 225 then.....
A mate of mine has a 55 reg ZR and its a nice new car but little things on it annoy me like the cheap window switches and the recognisable Rover components.
Following on from my other thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=186601
just checking im not being paranoid here...... If your driving along a straight road in your Clio and you let go off the wheel does it turn a little to the left and head towards the kerb. Mine goes dead...
Took it to the tyre centre this morning and apparently theres no point balencing aftermarket wheels as they all come slightly buckled and are not as well made as standard. Apparently its common practise to keep the better of the two wheels on the front and keep them there rather than swapping...
Cheers edde, so you agree with Renaults diagnosis, i must admit it was sceptical but its mint underneith nothing bent tracking bang on and it deffo feels much better with the wheels in the correct configuration, the mechanic and the gf agree. How much to balence a wheel? I bought the wheels and...
I guess so, was £50 for my alloys too, although admiral only replace non standard parts with standard ones in the event of a crash/ theft. Bit annoying adds to the cost of modding and puts you off, what starts off as a cheap addition soon escalates into your overdraft!
If your named driver on a parents policy and they are fronting you i.e the car is actually yours you are just after cheaper insurance (highly illegal), then lowering it will just add suspicion.
They are not stupid, 40yr old woman with a Clio declaring a bb4, tints, 17s and lowering, hang on a...
My mate bought a Rover 214 SEI on ebay once. When he picked it up the engine was knocking like a jehovahs witness! On the 200 mile trip home it used a full tank of fuel, two lots of oil and a radiator of water. Before lots of white smoke and breaking down 200 miles from home. Got beaten off the...

I ve got 15's on mine, didn't go for 16s due to loosing performance, mine do look abit small though, next job is to lower it. It feels the same as on the 14" steelies but with more grip, due to the lower profile tyres these are the same rolling radius of the original 14's.
Right had the tracking checked today and its spot on, top marks for Hi Q /Mr tyre in Nottingham for not charging me.
Still felt odd and drifted towards the kerb so took it to Sunwin Renault. Mechanic took it for a spin with me and agreed it had a mind of its own. Got it up on the ramps checked...
