deffo wait until you get the top mounts, do it all in one go :)
You can buy an adjustable C spanner to adjust them..
I would give them a good coat in WD40 etc. before you fit them and make sure they are all free to adjust before fitment!
AWESOME update....
One of the best build threads ever, the attention / quality to detail is simply brilliant!
2 questions...
Who did you use for the ceramic coating?
And... Do you want to rebuild my gearbox? lol :rasp:
You will need to get all the grease, dirt and oil removed.. best to use some form of degreaser!
then scrub it all down with a wire brush or sandpaper (as said in my post ;))
I masked up a few parts then wrapped a sheet of cardboard around the back of the engine / gearbox side, like a L shape...
I was at a loose end this afternoon... went into the garage and spotted some VHT paint I brought quite awhile ago!
Well, 10 minutes later the inlet manifold was whipped out and I was reaching for the wire brush :D
A few spray of Chemical guys orange degreaser, another scrub, then a rub over...
managed to squeeze 100ml of gear oil last night... Which had make no difference what so ever!
whhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnneeeeee z z z z zzzzzzzzz!!
undo the two bolts on the wish bone...
undo the pinch bolt (you may need to remove the caliper depending which way the bolt has been fitted to pull it out)...
pull the balljoint down, reach for a hammer...
Bang...
Bang...
Ball joint drops out...
Fit new one in reverse, without any hammer...
Fitted a new clutch and gave the car a full service 2 weeks ago... It has been absolutely brilliant since!
But yesterday I started to hear the differential bearings... and more... and more!!! ooh great I now have a lovely whining noise from the differential :(
Just my bloody luck, I even said...
