When it did the plugs and went back the first time did the bores and rings get the all clear after inspection or did the head even come off ?

What spec are you going for engine wise ? If it's just a simple high comp on standard rods then it shouldn't take more than 2 days if you have the parts ready.

What about Engine Dynamics they do a lot of engine builds and turbo conversions shouldnt be too far out the way for you ?

Strange one why would the mounts only cause 3rd gear jump out ? I could see that happening with worn standard mounts if the engine was moving and not letting it engage properly.

The mtx is a good strong box , I would look at the 6 speed getrag box fitted to st170's it's a 6 speed and a bit shorter than the mtx. Diffs are cheap and easy to fit to both boxes. I should have a spare Clio box next month and Sitech always has mtx and getrag boxes lying so I can get photos of...

Is 4k budget just for the engine or does it have to include a gearbox that will let you use 230+ bhp or do you have another £1500 set aside for that ?

Do you have any more pics of where you relocated the fuse box and ecu to , its something I would like to do to de clutter my engine bay.

Well I've owned both and think otherwise, but will agree launching the focus does struggle.

Have any of the people slagging the K sports drove one of these with them fitted ? My old one had AP's and drove a few with K sports and there really wasn't much in it. Also people will be shocked how well these put the power down, i would put money on a 600 bhp focus putting the power down...

I was shocked when he quoted me a price, I was expecting well over £200. Im going to be fitting the standard leather airbag centre so kept some leather on it as i don't like the GT3RS wheel that is all alacantara with leather centre.

Just got my spare steering wheel back from Royal steering wheels, half leather and alacantara with grey stitching and 12 o clock band. I also got extra padding added to give a better feel when driving. A bargin at £130 for the retrim

Glad to see it back out James, Spa looks like a brilliant track I really need to get so some other tracks than Knockhill but all 100's of miles away. What happened to the temp box you had fitted while the dog box was in bits ? Was it a loaner from Gripper or will it be forsale ?

Re: Road/Track 172 Here is a short video from a couple of weeks ago at a wet reverse direction night at knock hill, I really couldn't get to grips with the track in reverse and also lack of traction in the wet but was a fun night non the less...
