Had another wet track night at knockhill on Monday night, I really need to work on a wet set up as the car was all over the place. I switched from Ao48's to Federal RSR's and if anything they were worse. I think even with the roll bar disconnected and suspension backed off a little it was still...
I did as well but I got a deal on the paint job for putting a few stickers on the car , so rather than a few random stickers we decided to do a bit of a design.
SLS power run day
Car weighs 999kg with me in it still with passenger seat fitted.
First power run on a mainline dyno that is knows to be hard. Clio's with exhaust and filter typically make 140's atw
First run 182 atw , this puts me in a class with M3's and evos , so tried to drop the power to...
Had a few stickers added with companies that have helped out with the car.
I have 3 track days and one car show booked for this time home so will be getting a fair bit of use.
Dam there goes that plan will just need to chase up AST or worst case get busy on the lathe at work. I would of thought something like a spring seat should of been a on the shelf service part.
yes i need to know the thread size on the bottom of the shock to get a replacement spring cup. It will be either 2.25" or 2.5" , but could also do with the TPI (threads per inch ).
Basically trying to see if the likes of this will fit on the AST thread...
Does anyone know or could they measure the thread diameter and pitch for me please.
I need a rear spring seat and ideally want to avoid the AST lead time , so want to see if the likes of a avo/bc/ gaz seat would fit as a lot easier to get off the shelf.
Im over seas until next week so unable to...
As above I just had my gripper box rebuilt and was advised to pick an oil that protects the box rather than one that protects the diff. B737 destroyed my syncros in a short time , so no just went for a good quality 75/90.
I was also told not to use a shockproof oil as the additives in them can...
The paint flipped between red, orange, gold and green. The way the light is hitting it makes the lines look strange but the body work on it was spot on. The saxo arches and full door mouldings were blended in
Not good to hear Russ but looks like you have got the removal down to a fine art .
Have you used the car much since replacing the bearing in the PMS shifter ? Im still not happy with mine but not sure if better to change all the bearings or just the main stick one .
Can't wait to see what power this makes , like the out of the norm thinking that's went into it.
I would love a new car loom with just the basics, already have omex engine loom and eventually want to go with a dash2. But still want to bin the standard Ecu and control unit.
Thanks alot Craig .
Ive never actually heard mine from outside, never even heard it in a video will need to get one of use to take it for a few laps one day.
Done two track days this week , Monday which was a wash out and last night that was perfect weather . The change of 5th gear ratio has made a massive difference , as I'm now using 5th at 2 points on knockhill.
