wongy- hehe i think the HT3s look well cool the polished finished looks great wen the suns shining on em, there quite popular now but i think i was the first to get em on a valver
ur car looks well mate , certainly does look mint
adi
mine is a lot quicker with the 2.0 litre if it wasnt id be a bit disapointed and it wasnt exactly slow wid the 1800
its only quicker conditions allowing traction comes a problem in the wet, racin clean 16v in the wet is a pain as i cant get traction in first or second and his corners quicker...
only ever had 1 puncture and that was in me astra and then it waited till id got home before it went down all the way
couldnt have got me spare out anyway without spending an hour dismantling the install
worse bit is the embarassment of driving round on 3 big alloys and 1 little skinny wheel
yeh thats a good idea i might hav a crack at that too
yeh theres a big grommet under the header tank that ive used for my stereo cables go through that
adi
i hope u havent admitted liability , id just let the insurance company fight it out there not going 2 want 2 pay out and i dont think its technically your fault anyway
you did evrythng right u indicated but never actually pulled out into his lane i dont suppose there was any witnesses
adi
my ph 2 rims did that it was leaking from the edge of the rim took it qwik fit an they cleaned the edge an put a load of sealer on it an it was okay
adi
mines doin this at the minute, tried the coolant temp sensor made no diff
took idle valve off today an cleaned it wiv wd and its got fukin worse lol, lookin like i might have 2 buy a new one if i cant get it workin
adi
it can get blocked too, it might just be airlocked and not having a full expansion tank is letting some of the air out
strip off the pipes and connect a hosepipe to it and flush it through, draining and filling should get rid of any airlocks too
adi
they are imtimidating cos they will often sit behind you for a while checkin your car out glued 5 inches off your rear bumper
bunch of nobbers arnt they u have something stolen and there not interested, drive 5 mph over the limit and its crime of the century
adi
i dont think they are any less reliable than other cars its just all clio jobs tend to be expensive and its hard finding some1 who wants to work on the them
my valver hasnt been too bad, parts ive replaced that were knacked are clutch cable, rear discs and pads, anti roll bar link , front...
thought the speed sensor made it idle high it does it mainly after its been stood in traffic for a bit and it gets hot thats why i was thinkin coolant temp sensor
adi
mine has a bit of an idling fault at the min
when i come up to a set of lights or a junc and stick the clutch in the revs will drop to 500-600rpm and then slowly build back up to normal idle speed does it mostly when the engines quite hot
could this be the lambda sensor or the coolant temp...
lol its not my fault ur tyres are a bit sh*t hittin the rev limit in second shudnt hapen spesh wen uve jus set off lol
road is spot on for some good racing
when i can kick ur arse agen hehe ;)
hehe it was very wet, i think jons has the edge on mine but theres not a lot in it my 17s were getin much better grip for the start and traction was a big problem in jons he defo needs grippier tyres hehe
no i meant bobbins as in sh*te lol ull not get much to handle as well as a 106 gti/ vts unless u buy a clio of course ;)
dont think toyota starlets are renonouned for there handlin abilitys
and imho are not bad but not that good
u want a valver hehe
i think the most important skill is being able to read the roads and predict wot mite happen
most iams will be emphasised on safety not driving fast on public roads they choose the opposite to the racing line i.e go wide into the corner so u comeout on the proper side of the road
well...
yeh but thats in a perfect world maybe im just bitter cos in my short amount of driving experience (3yrs) ive had 4 people drive into my cars do minor to very substansial damage and just get off
so i dont know the exact damage caused to the other car but if it wasnt bad id have just got off...
as people are being a bit harsh on the cruise scene id say 80% of people who attend actually look after there cars and just want to show em off to other likeminded people
but u always get the nob heds who think there cool in there mums 1.3 escorts doin handbrake turns, as it happens most...
i nearly did it last week the clio mirrors are sh*t for seeing out of
im probably gonna get slated for this but if i was you i wouldnt admit liability ive seen loads of people cause accidents and just leave and u didnt even hit him
if you didnt hit him and didnt actually go out in the other...
