Looks exactly same as my brothers.. a shogun reversed into it (spare wheel on back) hence no mark. Probs same has happened to yours. Any 4wd's that park near you?
I prefer the handling of this one. Remember this is the 1.2 and daves (filming) is the 1.4. Its a heavier car sure, but there isn't much differnce between this in a 1.2 and a mk2 in a 1.2. But yeh this one looks pants.
Mines gonna feel like a rare boneshaker when i get it back... Hopefully tomorrow. Im sick of feeling like a hairdresser and getting looked at funny for puttin 3 quidsworth of petrol in it.
its the 1.2 16v. I test drove the 1.6 16v on the release day and i must say the 1.6 (which was a dynamique) did seem a lot better than the 1.2 extreme. Its quite a weighty car and the 1.2 has fixed seat height (which is very very high) and the suspension makes me feel a little sick as it feels...
Apparently is going to be lower due to the fact its 5 star euro N-cap, whereas the old one was 4 stars, so basically increased safety. Insurance group is often not a totally accurate indicator of how much it will be to insure.
Weve just had a 197 delivered to my local dealers. I was speaking to the guy who drove it down from renault UK and he says they will be offering a cup style spolier as extra, but as most of you know it serves no purpose as the downforce is generated by the diffuser. It will be interesting to see...
So ive took the car into renault (3rd time) its on 36k and the creaking and stifness of the clutch appears to be where the cable end links onto the linkage for the clutch assembly, if they bull s**t me tomorrow where do i stand, could i just remove the gaitor part and spray some lube in there or...
Any joy with this. Maybe someone who has replaced their mount becuase of worn out bushes will sell you one for 10 quids incl postage... Soon as you confirm it can be done im going to do the same.
