That looks like a fairly well balanced exposure TBH! Sky is not blown out and the shadows are not too dark.
The best thing you can do is to shoot in RAW as it gives you more room for adjusting the exposures in specific areas if you need to.
I bought a CPL after not having one for ages and took a couple of shots with it today. I had the choice between removing the reflections from the front window or from the side of the car. I chose the side but is there a car photography etiquette that says you should always clear the windscreen?
Found some info for you.
You can use "Motion-X GPS" on the iphone to record your route, then this free software to sync the GPS info with the images.
Buying second hand and selling it on afterwards might be the simplest way to do it though!
Fair play for having the guts to do that!
Simple question for you, but how do you get the plastic screws out of the trim in the engine bay without snapping them?
A cheaper option is to use an iphone app to record your movements and then a program on your PC which can automatically add the GPS data to the photos on your return. It works using the time stamp from the exif and GPS.
The software costs around £50 IIRC. I saw a thread on POTN about it a...
He said in a previous thread that he needs the 200mm, I used the 24-105 as a walkabout on my old 40D and it is a great lens though.
You can also pick up 2nd hand Canon 70-200 f2.8 for around the 600 mark. As you are shooting indoors, it may well be worth considering one.
It depends on what you want to take pictures of to some extent.
I only really know Canon, but the xxxD range (500/550D) are good for general use and video
The xxD models are better at sports as their AF and FPS are improved. They do not do video yet though.
The 7D has amazing AF and FPS a...
Spend a tiny bit extra and get the 18-55 too. They are around £50-60 and will enable you to use the camera a lot more.
The 70-200 is a great lens, but there is no way I'd use it as a my only lens on a crop camera. That said, if you are only going to be taking pictures of one subject and not use...
I am not sure than anybody but a collector could justify spending that much just to get f1,0 over the f1,2 though.
A mate of mine with a Nikon has three or four Nikon f1,2 lenses and the narrow DOF you can get with them is great fun. Sod paying the price they ask for them though!

Low light video - (I was at a cycling event not a gay concert) ;)
