It's not hard to take the top inlet off yourself and have a look at the ports and once you've done it once,
it seems like a piece of piss the next time.
I honestly can't tell you if it's worth doing as I don't know how good the casting is and the dirt test is how you find out,
but generally the RS inlets were a better casting so the gains from matching are minimal if any,
so on the whole i'd say your non RS inlets would benefit from matching...
Did you notice if the inlet ports were narrower then the gasket holes?
You can usually tell by the dirty ring around the ports, the bigger the dirt ring the smaller the ports in relation to the gasket holes,
which means you'll see an improvement from matching.
Personally I can't stand them because the middles stick out, I prefer the original Williams ones,
but alot of people have used them on here, a quick search brings up quite a few threads on them.

That dog bone mount is the wrong one for a ph2 172 you'll need a twisted dog bone mount, (I assume your avatar is of your car)
also you can't tell if your dog bone is knackered by looking at it and it will be the dog bone that's knackered, the footwell is a dead give away,
i'm not saying your...
Same with Capri's, a few years ago they were worth peanuts, now even 1.3 rust buckets that need scrapping are fetching a grand,
if it's even remotely road worthy you're looking at £1500 minimum.
LOL, you're not the first person to feel like that, imagine how you'll feel when I beat you for the 3rd time?
That's right i've been counting, 2 separate drag days, 2 wins for the dog kennel, I don't think you'll ever live down the shame of a 3rd loss.
Me neither as I don't want to die, but for £30 quid drag racing is a good day out,
chatting to people about their cars some of which are big money builds you wouldn't get to see on the road,
you cross the line at around 100mph and get to race people at full blast without getting nicked,
yes it's...
