Same here, if only I didn't live in a ghetto i'd probably be paying £50 quid to insure the Clio, although I guess £380 fully comp with maximum protected no claims isn't too bad.
What kind of a r****d views a car they don't even know they can afford to insure?
I've never viewed a car without having got a number of quotes before hand, that way if I like the car I can ring my insurer up while i'm stood there, pay for a years insurance by credit card and drive it home...
It goes under the car where the seat bolts in there's 4 of them on each side, if you're lucky it'll be one next to the sill rather than near the exhaust channel, it's not really important it's just a cover that stops the bolts from getting covered in road dirt and corroding.
I think you're right when you said stealth systems cause the sound to resonate under the car rather than going out the back, when I bought mine alot of people were going for the recessed Piper which despite being identical isn't half as loud in the car as mine is.
Even my exhaust is a hundred quid more expensive than when I bought it, plus no stealth option anymore.
