Hello,
Rear brakes will need replacing later on in the summer so thought I'd post up to see what options people go for. Now I'll be sticking to oem discs but wondering what people do regarding the pads. Would Ferodo DS2500's be a wast of time? If I do go for them I'll replace the front pads...
Read the first post again :)
Bean to jabba once for my anti roll bar. Seemed like nice people. Was nice to see Stuarts octavia that use to do the cannonballs.
Just had the 5 year belts changed on my wife's 182. While they were at it got the rear exhaust mounts replaced. Wow! What a difference. Cars so much quieter from both the engine bay and exhaust. No more rear parcel shelf rattle and the engine is smoother and quieter.
Both made up. Just need...
one option would be reno dampers or koni sport and with the spare money more track time :)
But like fred says if you've done 55 laps and the intructor says you just need for time and you can afford it and need to replace the suspension then KW v2 or b14 would be a good option now as you'd...
Spacer needed (5mm) for the rears as they sit to close to the inside liner.
Might as well space both the front and rear out with hubcentric spacer so it looks better
Hello,
Got a strange whinning noise. Only happens when on a spirited drive and you let off the throttle at high revs, but goes if you change up a gear to make the revs drop.
Amy idea's?
Thanks
Lol at the Skoda comments. I would love an old estelle 130 :)
Anyway I've seen that fabia before. Is he a member of Briskoda?
I've own my fabia vrs for over 5 years now. Coulpe of simple mods 312mm brakes from octavia vrs (yes another Skoda) and a jabba sport rear anti roll bar makes it a fine...
don't forget apr do trial maps. Depending on where your based try awesome. Other than that jabbasport, p-torque offer good remaps.
For the golf pd150 I'd go custom and ask for the sensible torque amoun or say bye bye to your clutch/flywheel.
Is it worth amping the front oem speakers? The distortion is probably down to poor amp in the oem head unit. Remember fitting aftermarket components with out changing the amp will result in quieter sound.
As I'm currenlty look at prices for the cambelt/aux change this is of interested.
Got home last night and looked at the service book. the book says at 72K or 5 years blah blah that the cambelt including tensioners etc and the aux belt plus tensioners need changing not just the aux belt...
Hello,
The misses has only had her 182 for a few months now and as it's due a 72k service plus cambelt change I thought I'd start checking prices.
Well so far they range from £350 to £750. What's with the big difference?
Thanks
If you look on koni uk's site under one of the menu's they list companies in the uk who will recondition the koni units. Can't remeber their name but they charge around £65 per damper.
Hello. Got a 2004 Clio 182 FF with cup kits. Getting a strong vibration/rattle coming from the boot area when driving forward or backwards on the clutch/light throttle.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
