had a bit of work done on my brakes a few weeks ago, including replacing the rear cylinder. Yesterday I did my usual drive through to my mates, doing 60 coming up to a roundabout, braked, braked a bit more with the intention of just slowing down, then a car approached from the right and I had to...
sounds like its a highsport kit hes running, and not coilovers...
youll need to go custom if you want anything lower than 60mm (ps, if it is the kit and not coilovers, it only lowers the front 60mm, the rear is a 40mm drop)
id still go with the eibachs and standard shocks for comfort, although if it was me id go for aftermarket shocks aswell.
You say you felt the bump stops before..... how?! lol (just wondered how low you are, as im lowered 60 with uprated shocks, had to take the shocks off to be sent back, and i...
then the other persons insurance would be paying out surely, so not a problem?
theyd hardly check your engine (internals anyway) anyway if someone crashed into you, regardless of why you were stopped.
just a few points to throw into the argument! lol
as said, 18s will go straight on...!
its so obvious youre 17... lol
deep skirts and bumpers on a clio.... nice ;)
what a waste of £3500, cant understand why you spent that, on a car that wont even be worth that - id have spent it on a 172 engine maybe...
yeah, the twin optics are the same...
the normal ph1 usually comes with standard boring single bulb headlights though, so not totally sure what youre asking!
most people on here dont rate them at all.
As ive said before, my mate has them on his mk4 golf and cant fault them - neither can I.
F1s probably are better though, but the T1-Rs arent bad at all!
£17ish, but thats from a motor factor not from renault.
the mounts are designed to absorb vibrations to aid comfort, they wear pretty quickly and the rubber in them tends to stretch allowing extra movement - just a design thing, and more than likely renault using cheap materials!
hmmmm, the first set were dodgy when i got them (noisey, and seemed stuck on the stiffest setting), second set have been on for about 8k and no problems...
actually smokey, if you want a decent ride, then the H&Rs win pretty much every time. I personally wouldnt go near Gaz after what a mate is going through and what some people on here have said.
FKs arent very expensive btw.
16v_jon, i thought the noisy rear spax dampers were just from a bad...
buy a new dogbone mount and fit it, less than 5mins to fit, and that includes jacking up and taking the old one off. lol
you can fill the voids on the current dogbone bush aswell, helps stiffen things up.
perfectly safe, its just for the guide pins...
all its doing is stopping the caliper moving round with the disc, or away from the disc. Theyre designed to be loose, as they have to slide with the caliper (as the pads wear)
yip, i used hammerite on my front calipers - the calipers themselves dont actually get THAT hot.
Also painted the discs where they go onto the hub, purely because they were starting to look scabby, no problems there either - but its easier if the discs are new! lol
not really anything on the market as a direct replacement, best to replace the mount and fill the voids in the mount (youll see what i mean if you look at the mount)
also might be worthwhile going for a uprated dogbone mount, thatll cut any movement caused by the engine.

could be wrong, but i think its the D2S bulb you need, £97 per bulb from powerbulbs, delivery is prompt too.
youll get it under warranty though
how many jubilee clips does it actually need? lol
open air induction kits arent that bad on the 1.2 16v, they dont get that hot under the engine bay, and the positioning isnt too bad for cold air.
Almost got one for my 1.2 8v (would have needed a few mods, but would have looked good)
pm AndyGDI
i seem to recall someone mentioning him in relation to V6 decats - got the impression he was maybe working on something to prevent the ecu from detecting a problem with the cat - probably the best bet, and cheapest (until MOT time anyway)
my version of dialogys says:
60 20 011 179 CATALYTIC CONV 648.96 ---3 x 1
it is infact a one piece cat... the confusion may lie in the fact it has two pipes going into the centre of the cat (from each side of the block), and an outlet pipe at either side of that going into...
