I polished a Black 106 GTi which was basecoat/laquer when the bodyshop painted the door the painted that ion single stage! Cheapskates.
As far as I am concerned the car is painted basecoat/laquer the repairs should be as well.
The same paint as the Cup Wheels is used on the Trophy alloys the code you have (205-110) is for Ixell Paint it is just finding the stuff.

Needed to ensure the EGP bonds, you will be surprised how much nicer they will look even being new with a polish.

After the drama of the 106 getting crushed by the Evo I never ever got round to sorting the pics after the Raceday and this is what happens if I don't do them straight away after.

Get a good wax Paul, if you over polish it it will be really rusty when you polish the paint off ;)
Jokes aside SRP is that mild you could probably use it every week for the cars life time, but if you polish it then use a good sealant and or wax you should not have to polish more than a every...
I have used both in my youth ....
The shampoo was great on the old works transit !!!!! I would use it up on wheel and arch duties.
As for the wheel cleaner I don't like acid based wheel cleaners full stop unless I have to, used to use the above on my old 309 GTi dulled the finish.
