Oops just realised they are cornering lights.
What an annoying thing to put on a car. Quite distracting I think, maybe not now I know why they are coming on and off all the time lol
Got a funny fault with the mk3.
When the headlights are on, the bulbs on the outer edge also come on but come on and off during driving.
What are these bulbs for? They are mega bright like fog lamps but the car has bumper mounted fog lights which work fine.
Main beam and dipped beam and side...
Sure it's not the joint on the end of the driveshaft thats gone making it look like the diff bearing has gone?
I'd take the drive shafts off first and check the roller bearings on the end and cv joint and also the wheel bearings.
Drain the oil first so you can see of his theory is correct...
These ones

Took the wheels off earlier and everything was tight, no play in anything so im completely stumped.
Just been having a look around under the car to find the source of my pulling to the right and when I dropped the Jack I noticed my front sportline spring the bottom 3 coils all sat on each other.
Is that normal? The spring isn't snapped.
Thanks Steve.
My rears are 6 month old sportlines and brand new cup shocks so I wouldn't have thought it'd be that unless one of the sprigs has gone soft recently.
I'll double check both wishbones are correctly torqued up tomorow along with both ball joint pinch bolts but again they are all...
Only other thing I can think of is I replaced the top engine mount but not the gearbox mount. Dogbone is polybushed.
Could uneven engine mounts cause It?
Bumping this thread as after removing the rear shocks together to find one was oem and the other was completely different I changed them both for brand new cup shocks, however the issue is still there and is driving me insane.
There's no knocks from any of the suspension as everything up front...
My is kind of lol.
I just assumed stealth meant it's completely hidden, id have gone for the recessed if I knew it would be such a pain lol.
I'm gonna try a powerflex mount I think hopefully no sag should get it more or less hidden
I fitted some cup shocks the other day and they actually did the opposite. The shaft would go back in by itself.
The rears however are pressurised and will want to extend everytime you push them in
If the noise goes away when the clutch is dipped then surely its more likley to be a bearing in the box?
When the clutch is dipped the release bearing is engaged and is under pressure against the clutch cover so more likely to make noise. when the clutch is up and his noise is auduble ie...
If you manage to get it stealth let me know how you did it.
I've settled for about an inch an a half of tail pipe hanging down as even with new mounts and hours of adjusting I could get it completely hidden
Just took both shocks off and one is Renault and the other side is completely different.
Different length and different top mount lol. I'll get new cup items.
