15.9 Clio 16v last monday on my first outing to Santa Pod

I bought it from Halfords, cant remember exactly as it was in december, but about £35 I think

I bought one of the big containers of Mobil 1 (is it 4 litres?) and it didnt quite fill it up to the maximum but was above the minimum. Just get another litre so you can top it up if necessary

Any idea of cost as Im very interested in one of these! What do you think it would look like on a slammed white valver with anthracite turbines? (My aim btw)

I think you have to take the back seats out in order to mount the harnesses, as they use the mounting points from the original seat-belts. Im after some buckets to replace my leather - dont care about comfort as I rarely do long journeys and im ard!!! If you decide not to get those buckets...

I think youll be very happy with your black one when you get it - I would be!

Mine never ticked before the goons at Renault put Magnatec in last september. I changed to Mobil 1 15W 50 after about a month and felt it was much better, but any 10W 40 should be fine as well Id have thought.

Id be VERY impressed if it cracked 25 secs to 100, under 30 secs quite possibly. Someone will have to test it out properly. Mini Cooper tested by EVO at 9 seconds dead to 60, but took 29.2 to get to 100. Similar stats to Clio 1.6

Nope, the speedo has always wobbled a bit, its just annoying me now. The tacho was fine when I got the car but recently has started stickingwhen the car is cold but is getting worse now. The fuel gauge and oil level gauge I can live with I suppose.

Be very surprised if a 1.6 16v Clio could do 0-100 in 25 seconds *edit* maybe down hill!

My tacho keeps getting stuck (not good when youre going for it!) or not working all the time and my speedo wobbles around massively at low speeds. My petrol gauge never goes above 3/4 and is completely unreliable below 1/4, and my oil level gauge never works. f**king Renault electrics! Anybody...

Right, changed the fuel filter and put some injector cleaning additive in with a full tank of optimax for good measure. Seems to be running well enough (not totally convinced its sorted yet!), although I havent had a chance to test it properly yet. I guess the proof of the pudding will be bank...

Well Ill give the fuel filter a try then, hopefully thatll sort it. Easy job for a relative novice? Also if its a blocked injector, how can this be sorted? A mate of mine ran his 19 16v dry and put some additive in with his petrol to try and sort it. What could this have been?

I do have the standard alloys so Ill try removing the covers and see what that does. Theres also a garage 100m up the road so hopefully if I ask nicely they might tighten up those mounts for me for nothing!
