Nope its definitely seperate to the main rad, like I said before they are connected by 4 tiny bolts. bumper and slam panel come off yes, only takes 15 mins to remove though, . ​cant help with the reciever unit as ive never heard of one lol.

it bolts to the radiator with i think 4 little 8mm bolts. The mounting brackets are really soft metal and snap easily so be careful.
