lol so its 25 quid for just the cable from the rear beam to 1 caliper. damn renault know how to rip us off lol.
Id ring gsf but have read that they dont fit the 1*2's for some reason
hmm, not got 50 quid at the moment lol so ill have to do just one side, only got back off holiday today and hes moved my car to get the bike out and broke it lol.
where does the cable split into near side and off side? or is there 2 cables right down the car?
i was always under the...
Well mine has just snapped after my dad tried putting the brake on like a gorilla.
anyway, it seems that the nearside still works but the offside doesnt, so im guessing that i can just replace the part of the Y which goes off towards the offside? or do i have to buy a complete cable?
is it...
Simotas do sound crazy, but to me it looks as if they suck in hot air from the radiator.
I'd go for JMS as it gets you a bit of noise and won't loose you power
Thanks lads.
Not sure what to do next, I need to get my bullets refurbed and I'm gona have the 2.0 16v in black rest silver.
Not sure what other mods I can do now without spending big money on engine mods.
Any suggestions for a man on a budget?
I fancy a strut brace other than that I'm not...
Well my front cup springs were had it, one of them had split at the bottom so i decided to oder some sportlines as it seemed more economical to if the rear 2 cup springs ever decided to break.
fitting them was easy enough.
cant see any drop though to be honest but thats not why i bought them...
Just found one of my front springs has broke and needs replacing.
I was considering getting 4 sportlines fitted but they are 130 quid for 4.
I seen nwp are doing genuine springs for 40 quid so I'll just get the front 2.
Are all springs the same for cup or non cup? If so how come a cup is lower?
Just done another test. I'll be jacking it up tomorow.
If i turn the wheel all the way left and then all the way right I getthe nocking noise about halfway round. This is sat on the drive not moving with the engine running
In Rotherham. Yeh the wheels seem to spin ok and no movement that I could see. I'll get it up again tomorrow and see if I can feel any play.
Fred, how much is a ball joint likely to cost me? And is it a big job to change?
Quick update on this.
I was just reversing off the street to goto work and as it was a slight incline I just left it in neutral and rolled back with steering turned slightly right and the nocking sound was happening then as the car sarted rolling.
This makes me think it's not an engine mount...
ano that was the plan but he said he wernt sure if the cheapest ones fit, so i said well why did they come up when i told you the reg of the car then lol?
need some cheap disks for a 52 plate 1.2, i rang bullseye and he gave me 3 options but he wasnt really sure which ones fit it and i cant take them down as they are still on the car lol.
doesnt need to be anything special, just something to get it through the mot.
Ok hers guys.
Well my nocking is only on very low revs when pulling away. Does this sound more like gearbox upper mount?
I take it the 1cm clearance is for a 172? My 182 cat to manifold joint has plenty of clearance
Got a slight nocking noise when pulling away so im going to have a go at changing the upper gearbox mount seen as its the cheapest one lol.
ive got a powerflex dogbone so thats ok.
also does the lower gearbox mount ever cause problems? it never seems to get mentioned.
finally, how do i...
yeh try again with the engine cold as if its hot then itl all still be up in the engine. but there should still be some on the stick
i noticed mine uses quite a bit of oil, runs fine though so i just keep an eye on it and top it up when required
Don't think it will be much louder if at all, decatting a standard system seems to make no difference so I can't see why this will do.
Doubt there'll be any difference In performance.
How much they want to charge? What you need to remember is that the stock backbox is also made of cheese so...
I take it all these complaints on ktec stuff is only for 172's?
My 182 ktec janspeed supersport system is spot on, not too loud, miles lighter than standard and doesn't booooom
as title really, when i pull away i get a slight nocking sound.
ive got a powerflex dogbone so im thinking it may be the engine mounts?
or could it be something more serious like driveshaft?
