Hey Oilman.
Make Renault
Model Clio
Year 1993
Engine size/type 1.8 16v
I currently use Comma Lite 10-40W SemiSynthetic and change the oil about every 3k since I've owned her. I was recommended the oil by a few people on Retro Renault so assume it's a good choice.
I do find that in traffic and...
F7P (Valver) manifold is specificly designed for that engine. It helps low end torque so is pretty essential.
The F7R (Williams) manifold is different, so, as BenR says, it will be counterproductive to you.
Yes. Think about it, those little engines have so many parts available to tune them with. You can see the Bhp figures running into the high two hundreds.
You stupid Mk2 ppl :p
Oooh cool, I already have those two Autoglym products.
So what would you reccommend to apply and remove the wax?
Just normal Autoglym poloshing clothes? And is it ok to wax over the that Autoglym Extra Gloss?
Cheers Rich.
Bit gutting for you mate, but what's the stupid tosser doing without a seatbelt?
Deserves it to be honest, and I know that sound harsh but he obviously thought seatbelts aren't cool. Maybe he'll learn for next time.
Bought it Dec 2005.
Erm gearbox died, but due to neglect. No oil + 1000 miles and a long motorway stint burnt it up. Since then PAS pump also went and centre section of the exhaust needed replacing. It has however never not started or cut out etc.
Cost to run. Well does about 70 miles per £10...
I respect your opinion but I think they look lovely. Can't see how they can look so gash when they do look very similar to a nomral clio except for slightly wider arches and a bonnet vent...must make them gash though I suppose.
I'd say it was stupid as so many people with RSi's either end up...
If I had my 1.4RT and a bit of cash I'd do this:
Rebuilt K7M Bottom end on an early E7J head ported and polished by Chris H, Laguna 1.8 TB and a de-cat. Leave the rest of the engine and exhaust standard.
I think it looks nice.
Deffo grown on me.
It seems a lot of testing and design has gone into this car.
And why the f**k do people keep on going on about "Only a small Bhp increase"
"Only 197Hp and weighs 120Kg more"
God stfu already. Renault know what they're doing. If it needed 300Bhp I'm...
When are Renault gonna make a tubro Clio?
That would be ace. A limited run of 400 or something pushing silly power in a limited colour. Like the Williams was back in the day.
As if you don't speed; but this time I wasn't. Going down a carriageway, car over took and a car was coming the other way so he pulled in way too close, so I slammed on the brakes and the car went into a spin in to the barriers.
Think that's right lol.
Hope you're alrate chap.
Got a de-cat on my Clio and that's never really popped. Will on idle if you plant the throttle but kind of blip it. Basicaly let the exhaust warm up, then stamp the throttle really quickly, revs go to 3k and you get a nice burble popping sound.
Have a standard bacbox too, sounds nice, real nice...
