you can turn the covers if you can get a grip on them. A thin flat head screwdriver or something like that to lift it off the dash a little will get it loose. They only turn a little before they are fully off. If you manage to get them off, then get someone with small hands to take out and...

how have ya got washers on your normal headlights?

dials and centre consoles are smd's and need to be soldered in. Not that easy unless you know what your doing. www.powerbulbs.co.uk you choose your car and they show the compatable bulbs. also, for the hid conversions, i think you need a projector as the mk2ph2 headlights arn't suitable iirc.

start with the sensor. try cleaning the contacts making sure they make a good connection etc, after that, try and check for cold spots in the radiator, which could suggest a blockage in the system.

if it works when you fiddle with the key, then it seems to me that all you need is a new key. which is arounf £160 ish from renault. including programming.

try this; hold the button in on the key fob when turning on the ignition, but not the engine (all lights light up etc) then take it out and try to lock it again.
