That's looking nice mate, have you got any close up pics of the skirts please, especially at either end showing the fit, as they look fine in that picture but mine bow out at the end and my body shop isn't keen on them.
You have Mk2 Ph1 and Mk2 Ph2
Both the same shell and engine, few slight differences, cable throttle, air box.
Exterior, The Mk2 Ph2 is the newer version with the triangular front headlights, the Mk2 Ph1 has the dual optic headlights with the vents in the front bumper. Mk2 Ph1 is 2000-2001. Mk2...
IMO you'd be best getting a cheap Mk2 Ph1 172 for track use. Advantages are it's cheaper and has the cable throttle, smaller wheels etc so better for track. With good coilovers, stripped out and buckets it''ll be lighter than a cup anyway and handle better. Maybe consider uprated brakes (not...
No worries mate, thanks for that. Certainly making me consider it then. I was all for binning them before. He also suggested I could totally bodge them and it not look too bad! lol, If I was to bond them as normal, with the slight gap at the rear, plenty of sealant to fill the gap and get the...
How could I forget the Saner mobile! lol
Good to hear mate, do you mind me asking how much they charged to sort them properly? PM if you prefer.
Paul, I took them to a bloke who has a bodyshop in Halebank, near where the old Asda was.
Think the plenham is 10ish bolts and remove any attached sensors, the fuel rail is two bolts I think. Try contacting Dave3141 (not sure on exact user name, has ralf from Simpsons as his picture!) He was doing plenums and fuel rails at one point, he may be able to help you.
Thanks Mark. I know the fella at the bodyshop and he's a top bloke, I know he isn't taking the piss. He showed me what he was on about and explained everything and it all made perfect sense. The £140 was to make them fit perfectly, it involved fibreglassing and that, he explained it fully to me...
I was paying £150 for font bumper colour coding, full rear bumper spray, cup spoiler and side skirts to be sprayed. Fitment is where added cost will come in for me, the skirts fit like a bag of shite so I'm not sure what to do about them now.
For the people that have these, what is the fit like on them? I've just taken mine to the bodyshop with my other bits but he isn't too keen on them! Said he's happy to pain them and that but they don't fit too well. The fibreglass has bowed out a bit and it leaves a gap at one end. He said they...
Yeah! lol, I did! Liking all the positives for GT4 seen as though I've just bought it.
I've had the Driver games and agree they are class but I was after, real cars and tracks etc.
I'll be getting NFS on PSP.
I thought it might get more views in here but if it needs to be moved then so be it.
Which GT mate? there's a couple on play.com for decent prices and surprisingly GT4 is cheaper than GT3.
What does everyone think are the best driving games on the PS2? Nearly all my games have gone 'missing' so I'm after a couple of new ones, not played on the PS2 for a good year so it needs some use. I was thinking along the lines of Gran Turismo 3/4, Colin McRae Rally etc. Ideally it will have a...
