Are you sure that your car isn't running a decat or similar exhaust? They can normally tell if the ECU has been altered. I think it remembers everytime it's plugged in to a computer - something like that.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has started a job with a particular time frame in mind and it's all gone bandy. Painting my calipers took 3 days in the end, after expecting it to be 24hrs, and the front pads which should have been about 45 mins took 4 hours when I couldn't get the piston back...
If you look at the speakers you'll understand why. The fronts are Blaupunkt and the rears, 'cardboard audio' - awful! I chucked in the bottom end alpine coax in the door and removed the rear panel speakers and extended the cables to a pair of 6x9s on the shelf for a quick fix. Much better over...
Prospeed - you'll get exactly what you want there.
02920 461444, ask for Charlie.
They make them while you wait. No off the shelf stuff. My sport cat and backbox was about £500
It really doesn't look good. Makes me want to take a coin to it and scratch it off to see if I've won anything? No doubt some drunken twot will think the same one friday night.
Because I need a slight custom one, and Mr Renault is unlikely to do that for me. K-Tec might. I need a slightly longer section where the manifold joins the cat. I also need it to be welded to my sport cat, not bolted.
It is very easy, but I think my split pins are missing (172 ph1). Remember thecopper grease though.
Oh, if you have to wind the cylinder back, make sure you leave the slot in the correct place for the pin on the pad to slide in to.
If you drive relatively sensibly the standard pads are more than adequate. If you drive like a nutter all the time look to upgrade. I've just slotted some EBC greenstuff in to the fronts. Still need wearing in so can't comment yet.
Has anyone had one of these systems fitted from K-Tec. Actually I only want the manifold section, as it seems impossible to find a 182. Any thoughts?

Forget any thoughts of additional BHP with an IK. This site seems pretty unanimous that they don't offer any BHP. You might notice a little extra throttle response as your engine can breathe a little easier. The IK becomes more useful as you do more radical mods, where your engine requires more...
Taking the engine first, if you're doing this in stages the IK and exhaust are your cheaper options and they won't require any ECU work. Viper or similar IK kits are all much of a muchness. For exhausts Prospeed in Cardiff are highly recommended.
For more serious engine work, a set of cams...
it's a butch girls car - the dungaree wearing type. The Japs can't style sports cars like the Europeans can. Coupes yes, sports no.
You can't compare a clio to a sports car in the styling stakes. If you have the cash to buy a proper sports car then buy something European.
182 manifolds are very rare it seems. I also believe you need to lower the sub frame in the 172 in order to fit the 182 manifold - is that something you're happy to do yourself?
