According to EVO, the 2nd hand price of the 172 is rock solid, as there's a demand for them at their £5-6k price tag.
Why on earth would you buy an S2000. It's a girls car!
My understanding of the clio tuning world is that BBPT and K-tec do the turbo side of things, and Yozza, GDI and Hill Power handle the NA side. Weren't the Yozza and GDi parties all working together at one point and those results have produced the respective companies packages? But as the Yozza...
You'll have to stop showing people how to do their own repairs, Mike Ha ha. See you next week for the CV boots. the dials should keep you busy for an hour or so.
Don't do tints as your car starts to look like a van. It'll soon fail an MOT if you have it too dark at the front. Looking good though. Move house so you can lower it further.
You also have Yozzasport too, for parts and engine/suspension/brake work. They have played a big part in pioneering NA clio tuning. You can click on their web banner at the top of this page.
Hill Power too have various performance parts and engine tuning packages I believe
In the phase one it's a dash off job as the grills are fixed to the dash. The tweeters then push out of their holders and you lift them out. I thought this photo would show the tweeters, but at least you can see that passenger airbag is separate from the dash.
By component I assume that the tweeter comes away from the woofer, which they do on the SX55. Can't see how it's a 3 way, thought it only had the woofer and tweeter:S
I have £150-200 to spend on a sub. It will be powered by a JBL 1201 amp. I want to mount it arse up, so it needs to look good as well as sound good. My front set up will be JBL 75.4 with Boston SX55 components. HU is Alpine 9847
I've already spent around £80 on the rca cable (no connectors) for the car, as the interior is out at the moment I wanted to get the decent cables in ready for any ICE work.
I've just bought a set of Boston Acoustic SX55 components, for the doors. Came out top in the Fast Car 5.25" survey, and...
Im purely hypothesizing that : by keeping one end open, the excess air can be used to slightly cool the engine bay, and also let the noise of the IK out.
Ben, I love your laymans terms as they are still far and above us mere mortals. Ha ha
Are you saying that you can't drive fast enough to 'choke' the cold air feed?
You can have the laminar air flow idea for AWR. Just send me one when it's ready;) . I'm now thinking of a 'T' piece device. The...
I have a red LED on the gear stick console that looks after market fitted, and some sort of alarm. It flashes when the key fob is used to lock the car. Anyone shed any light on this (pardon the pun)
How fast does the air have to hit the air filter before the foam starts collapsing and blocking any flow? Isn't an IK supposed to suck air in rather than have it forced into it. So, a stream of FRESH cold air across the front of the filter intake (not 3ft away down a tube) must be a better...
Trying to get my head round this whole ICE thing at the moment. Does this look like a reasonable set up? I don't want to butcher the car's interior really, apart from mounting a sub and amp in the boot.
Vibe SK50 components (in the door)
JBL GTO 75.4 amp
Audiobahn Dub 1200 sub (mounted cone...
The Renault ECU will adjust to some extent for the additional air flow. Whether there's enough range in the ECU for the amounts the Vforce porduces I can't answer that.
ha ha, yeah, I didn't think about the drill option until I was half way through the job. I think at a later date I will get a second set of calipers and do the whole job like you have
