 Hello,
i got a replacement rear seat for my clio, and its got like greasy crud on it  , like someones sprayed WD40 onit or something, anyone know how to get rid of this crud, i was goign to take the cover off and stick in washing machine, so i tried but its like glued to the foam...
thats a bit crap, i have had my cup for 4/5 years now i think, and not had an accident in it, so would green light punish me, if i tried to get insurance with them ? Probably ?
Does green light ask how long you have owned your vehichle ? then work out the cost on that, or just say oh its a cup...
you just unbolt the 4 nuts per seats, underneath the car, 2 are covered by plasic rubber things to stop them rusthing near the sill, and the other 2 bolts are by the exhaust pipe. and lift them out after you unclip the airbags etc.. you need a deep socket bit to fit over the bolt as they have...
well i wrote off a 172, had non standard alloys, had magnex exhaust, clear rear clusters, viper induction kit, i was with direct line and they paid out without any questions, i even told them i want to put the original wheels back on, and they said i could so when i went to the place it was...
i got my 172 superchipped, took about 30 mins they just program it with a new map, sometimes makes my revs go to 8k,depending on air flow and temp, apart from that i didn't really notice much difference.
i tried getting my credit card company to refund me for an ebay / paypal purchase, and they refused saying that paypal isn't a company, or a bank or something like that, and their is nothing then can do. thats why i hate paypal. they suck.
i agree, but i am sure having a bit of bent custom made metal frame is the same buying a manufactured one, plus you can always ge tit made with thicker metal to make it stronger if required. if someone did like a CAD drawing and dimensions i am sure they would be cheap to be make, most machine...
call them up or just drive to some, and say i need some metal brackets made to bold these seats into my car,
you only need like a bit of angled metal about 4mm thick for strength, saves you forking out £100 each one. or order some, take them to a welder and say can you make me some of these...
Hello,
Should you tell your insurance if you change your seats, i suppose you should so they pay out to replace them, but has anyone done this and if so how much extra did it cost on your premium
you can fit it on if its the same length. go for it. i used a torque wrench to undo the bolts as they were well tight and the length and weight of the wrench made it well easy
yeah, i wanted it hidden, and out the way, and having it inside the box means you could just have some connections to the box, so when you take your car to garage or want to use the boot, you can just take the one thing out, and make life easy,as i often take mine out to fill my boot with cr@p...
as you made your own box, wanted to ask a question, as i was goign to make my own, cna i mount the amp inside the sub box ? that way it will get cool air from the sub moving the air around, and i wont' have to have my amp rollign around in the boot cso i am too lazy to screw it down
