    MILLERS 5W40 Fully Synthetic Oil

    Try the Milelrs site I think you can from there. Milelrs do a special diesel oil which I used now but I prefered the normal stuff but at £10 more I'm to cheap to pay and the diesel stuffs superb anyway.

    Was the colent temperate gauge showing a chnage? Might be a broken thermostat etc.

    Coolent pump on the 172 doesn't run of the cambelt so not so much of a worry.

    Loss of power

    Get a cleaning kit for it or just buy a new ones. Have a look see if its got dirt on it don't move the flap just clean it inside as best as you can.

    do all 172s have shift lights?

    They didn't have alloy boots only bonnets on some of then. The light no use anyway its just comes on to warn your close to the limit its not the optimimum shift or anything.

    And ECU. Stock brakes depend how your going to drive would be fine but why not upgrae you'll need the suepension so migh as well use hubs and shafts and box realy.

    You can get blue tinted lights from Halfords etc Just keep your eye out for badges.

    If you'd done a serach most of this would be revieled. Best get a whole doner car someone selling a car with a failed engine buy that its simpler. Yep you need to wire up the PAS or else remove the Pump from the valver AUX belt or else you'll have the PAS on fire You just need a PAS rack...

    power in 5th gear

    7.5k? Engine red lines stock at 7.25k. Its not going to fly in 5th gear at those speeds though. (unless its one of those rare engines which few people has).

    Drop Yozzasprt a message there not to far off or GDI. Fitment yoursefl easy though 1 hour to do the frotn aand another to do the rears.

    Engine problems

    Sounds like the coil pack but check the spark plugs. As for the moving sounds like the clutch is failing.

    I might be wrong but the answer I gave is the correct one for your question. You said it beeps at you three times the answer I posted is that if it does this when being locked then well the text is above. Yes alarms works check it if you want leave a window etc open.

    speedo having a fit!!!

    The speedo sensor on the back of the gearbox on a CUp just have a look as jon said porbaly bad connection.

    Its an admission of a faulty product plus there so mnay people out there who won't use the things correctly. Plus the stuff for the dialogues is Renault properly it was stolen and distributed.

    Wiring fault its not normal check for earthings straps etc on the engine.

    Its easy not much help just don't damage the rubber gaiters on the driveshaft at any cost. Don't let the hub fall over and amage the inside gaiter either get a beg or brick to hold it in place.

    Stock are much much beter don't use powerflow. No easy way I don't think.
