was at the official garage mate, SMC one in Woking, Surrey. I think it only touched on full lock, it is lowered as well, maybe that had an effect.
Does anyone reccomend borrowing some wheels off someone and using them for it, or should I swap?
:(
Please can everyone post pictures of their lowered clios (preferably 40mm and black) with 16 inch wheels on. my car failed the MOT with 17s so i may need to swap!
thanks a lot everyone.
The car has just failed the mot, because the wheel was too big, and touching the bodywork on full lock.
So i get home to try and swap the wheels with my sisters mini, to find theres no tool kit in the spare wheel.
Lovely.
Wheels are also supposedly too large and are affecting power...
been thinking of sat nav, or 172 interior, not really sure though!
anyone got any ideas, here are pics...

i started a policy about a month ago with them... got all mods insured, they sent me a letter to confirm this... to be honest they are a pack of jokes.... i am worried what will happen if i claim.
poor bloke... starts a thread about loving his car, and you try and tempt him into buying something! talk about throwibng yourself to the modders though mate ;)
I sent CIS a letter indicating all mods on my car, they replied about 10 days letter saying that it was noted and there was no increase in premium... this was for, lowering, exhaust, induction kit, lockwood dials, momo gearstick, momo handbreak, front spoiler, skirts, and alloys.
BUY OFF HERE!
I did and it was wel well worth it... you get a car which has been looked after properly, and if the person has been on here a while, you know that they aint shady or anything... really worth doing mate, get it off someone respected on here!
i thought the same when my car went in for an oil change... but then loads of water marks appeared on it so wasnt too impressed!
try using a polish, mines black and the only way I get all water marks out is by polishing the whole ting, takes about 40 minutes but looks amazing afterwards!
I put a heading of Cosmetic mods for all of them, so not directly, but when they replied they said that all items were insured for free.
If I have any problems, I have their own letter stating that it is insured.
CIS Insurance
I went with CIS based on the online figure they were giving me. After ringing them up, they quoted me a figure 35 % less than the online one. If anyone is looking for insurance, try ringing them up, they were 50% cheaper than anywhere else for me.
I then sent them a...
Not sure if this helps you mate but I am with CIS insurance, and they did not add a single penny for Induction kit, lowering, wheels, skirts, front spoiler, exhaust and interior mods... they dont care about cosmetic mods.
