Yep oxygen and lambeda are the same thing.
Yep undeven ideal is a bit expected.
Its going to be the second sensor most likly which has failed so engine running isn't affected by its failure just the light as the ECU things the cat is damaged.
Bed in depends on exactly what type of brake pads but the hard bed in process of differen variations is the most common and best one it gets rid of the coatings on the brakes as soon as possible but down't let the resings stick to the disk or pads.
I'm underpaid at work then again for the work I often do maybe I've overpaid.
I'm saving for a house and do to many miles to make a 172/182/197/911 well any car etc a worthwhile proposition/investment/waste (fill in as you think appropriate). Plus I hate spending money. I'd never bother...
I have some extra pins here somwhere but there probably lost. there only 10 p or so.
You could just drive round without one for a bit I know a few people who have but I woulnd't recomend it. A quick repair fix is just to use some coat hanger thread. Just remeber the shaft ins't a perfect...
Don't forget Millers do a few types of oil from there normal stuff for road use to there CGS etc type for motorsport use. Prices vary accounding to that. Most trade places wouldn't stock the CFS type fluids.
On a Phase 1 or a Cup the issue will be the spedo sensor in the gearbox its round the back of the gearbox ontop its the only thing there except for the reversing sensor check its plugged and scree it and its got a good connection.
I'd guess this or the loom to tthis will be the problem...
Just thinking the OBD it under the ash tray how would you have seen this?
LRTom - they do have it thats what its official desination is its under the ashtray you'll see it.
Don't forget cars like the Vectra have otions of 235/35 tyres and eveo never manged to damge there and if you see some of there pictures you'll know you'd have trouble.
PS I know 235/35 are wider but they work out lower side wall height at 82.25mm but 195/45 are 87.75mm
New rear disks with bearings well shop roundfor the best prices
Rear pads and front spads stock are fine (FDB845 are the stock one from Halfords etc for £17) and fine
Fronts stock are again fine £40~60 for them as a pair.
Then chnage the fluid for some better stuff as that will make a...
Lusty asked why anyone would turbo one turbo just gives you more power not control or grip.
I was arguing its not that quick anway so why not turbo it its not that uch power.
If where going to name drop ask oms about the Ferrara or 911 or M3's on track with me.
No, as I said £100 for the clutch or so and its about 5 hours labour and depends where you are how much that works out as.
Mr Clutch etc specialists would charge about £200 or so cash in hand maybe £250 with a VAT reciept. excluding parts (I'd personaly get the parts youself from Renault)...
Millers stuff is superb oil.
Bed the brakes in hard though thats the way they should be beddin in a few 60 to 10mph hard stops then let them cool off and down stop dead on the brakes.
Its not IMO depends what your compairing it to. I used to hqve a tunned Williams and got bored wan't quick enough for me it could go but the power just wasn't enough and I wanted a quicker car for the money I was spending and the Williams was quicker than any stock 172 or 182 by a fair chunk.
Its the OBB or onboard diagnostic system. Its used to check fault codes etc when warning lights come on and test the cars syetsm its not much use for analysing faults unless you've got a Renault computer (£5k) otherwsie outputs from it are useless.
Both cars use the same valve set it so its not worhting when the cars emply and loeded when the back goes down.
Handbrake is the same setup I'm sure.
ABS is not issue.
Stock dront and rears are 238mm.
You shoulnd't need a new clutch just a new cable there about £15. Then its about 0.5~1hour to fit. you can do it youself if yo realy want.
Clutch are good for 100k on them at least even with serious abuse.
Fiitment is about 5 hours then a new clutch is £100 or so.
Go to a clutch...
I take it you both have Mk1 Clios? Ie upto about 98?
If so them the sunroofs are a pian best fix is to strip them downa dn repalce allt he seals etc but for the cost most people just seal them shut.
You'll be able to tell if the tensioners gone off it will be pulled downwards and cracked the plastic surround around it.
You've a few choices I'm not re writing it I've posted it all here in this posts
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=109205
Its because Cup don't have Air con system or tensioners reducing power before it gets to the wheels hence the cars have more power at the wheel as less is removed. There not hand picked Renault don't even check there not ultra rare rally cars.
£300 is cheap for suspension hecne why IMO its never nay good (I've yet to see nay decinet stuff like stock).
New Renault dampers are £200 then use springs.
