I made the mistake taking my 182 back to the local dealership when the alternator failed on mine.
Took them three attempts to get it right and then had the cheek to say that they had 'lost money' when I queried the ridiculously high labour charge.
I would rather engulf my car in flame than...
@David Stuart - such a thread of extremes - glad you came out unscathed, other than the impact on your wallet!
I'm hoping that in-car footage exaggerates how close you are to the barriers on the hill climb? Constantly looks very narrow indeed.
iCue can be a massive memory hog.
I've checked it a few times and touch wood - mine's been ok. I've seen some online instances were it's been using over 800MB memory - lol.
I have a real chip on my shoulder with semi-realistic games offering items like this - lol.
Like games where you can carry a pistol, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, flamethrower, minigun and 2,000 rounds for each. It's just stupid. I get 'it' on chaotic games like Doom and Serious Sam (which is...
There's something quirky with the Fallout series. Played 3 to death - even if the one-man-army inventory and skill sets grated on me for their stupidity. Bought New Vegas and simply didn't get into that at all.
Bought the complete version of Fallout 4 from cdkeys for a couple of quid and...
The only issue I have with Rockstar is the virtually non-existent after-release updates/downloads/DLCs for the single player side of their games. Yet the incessant crap that gets turned out for the multiplayer stuff.
I'd rather contemplate the EA/Ubisoft model of additions - than plug away with...
Another free alternative is XnView. Used it for years - in particular the batch convert option which allows masses of images to be converted to another format.

Still to this day, I can't get used to FPS's using a pad. It feels sluggish, linear and frustratingly inaccurate. I know it's clearly not in the hands of someone who's taken the time to learn, but conversely - try K&M. You'll be utter s**t to begin with, but once it clicks - the delicacy of...
Finally got around to this yesterday - along with removing my knackered back-box heat-shield from underneath.
The only slightly twitchy-bum time I had was in removing the the inner trim card from the boot lid itself. With that one retaining screw removed, it seemed far too attached to simply...
Given the time and effort (plus cost) of swapping the driveshaft - I’d definitely factor in replacement gearbox oil. Bit of a false economy otherwise, imo.
Visited the parents yesterday and stopped at a shopping centre on the way over.
The car had been fine, but when we returned from the shops, the 182 wouldn’t start at all. No clicks, could hear the fuel pump engage but zero attempt to fire when the key was fully turned.
Did the quick self test...
My 1st-gen Apple Watch is down by a good 40-45% by the time I get home from work. I really do think that if the engineers hadn't put the cradle charger with the Watch, it would have died of death at the first model.
I often go swimming at dinner and would really like a newer model to leave on...
It seems strange that I sit in an office full of developers and the majority don't understand that view. I'm exactly the same - and will be replacing my iPhone 7 with another iPhone when the time comes.
I used to have all the company mobiles pass through my mitts and it was from those days...
Used a pair of Tritton's for quite a while - but the bridge section over the top started to split, probably getting over my fat head. I use these at work now.
Picked up a pair of QPAD headphones (possibly QH-90's, but not 100% sure on that) and have been using those for about two years...
With regards to Trackers - might be worth checking with your insurance if you go down that route.
One insurance company I spoke to actually increased the premium if I activated the dormant Tracker on the Evo, as they said that I was admitting "it was a higher risk of being stolen."
Hopefully...
Whichever you go for - I strongly vouch for wired. Messing about with charge times, additional weight (if only slight) of batteries in the headphones, etc - the small benefit of not having a cable simply isn't worth it for me.
You're me, but in a kind of reverse - lol.
Ordered my 182 in 2004 having never even sat in one. My wife at the time had a Mini Cooper S, but I had a proper longing (still do!) for an S2000...
I think between the Honda and the Renault - they aren't a comparison due to being such completely...
After nearly 15 years I think the heatshield above the backbox is finally on its last legs.
Over the years, I've added larger washers to some of the bolt sections after the highly robust Alcan foil sheet, has clearly worn through and no longer supported by anything.
Could I simply just cut...
Andy - any evidence that the wiper mechanism has been messed with before? Should be as simple as tightening up the bolt as @imprezaworks says.
Failing that, if the mechanism has been removed previously to access the washer bottle or clear out the debris in that area - there's a chance that it...
Firstly, I hate your friend. Not only does he have an S2000 - but with the chance to actually own and drive it out in Canada? Has he had the luxury of being on some of those British Columbia roads before?
Secondly - he doesn't need to worry so much about keeping it pristine if over there...
That negates it being a driveshaft.
Mine did exactly the same - just about to pull out of a junction and BANG - no drive. However, any attempt to slowly release the clutch in any gear resulted in an awful grinding noise.
With the clutch fully depressed, I could work through the 'box without...
We bought a 4K Firestick the other month (typically it appeared in a flash sale on Amazon a few weeks later for £25) and it simply embarrasses the Samsung HD boxes and apps on the Samsung TVs that we currently have.
I'm actually awaiting for one (if not both) of the TVs to die so that I can...
