My wife got a MX5 earlier in the year.
Its now 8 years old. Only done 6k.
So tyres are 8 year old OEM bridgestones but got 7-8mm on them. When I looked at other low miles MX5's the tyres had cracked sidewalls if still on originals. But these still look like new I guess it was hardly driven &...
Yeah I saw a youtube on that.
Could be right running down stock before launching PS5. But there were none of those either or normal PS4. Just Cup-2 and some all season tyre.
Yeah was going to wait a bit see if they come back.
Depths are ok but a bit of cracking on the shoulders. So may have been worth changing going into winter.
235/35/19.
I think that is fairly well used on the larger hot hatches.
There are some on Ebay and Goodyears available. So can get if I want.
Just did not know if there was a shortage?
Just had a look as was thinking of replacing my front Michelin PS4s on my Megane with the same tyre to match the rears. Not desperate.
Seems like thin pickings on most premium tyres.
Has this been going on post covid?
Not needed Tyres for a while.
I was contemplating one for a while. Amazing how many just had std seats? Dont know if people had the comfort ones fitted as std or sold them down the line.
That one is clearly helping the cause of pushing up the values of the others.
I had a P1 in 2003 and its showing the consistent pattern of appreciating like every car I have owned & sold. Metcalfe's walk around of Silverstone auctions has to many past conquests. To painful.
Had belts Service a couple of weeks ago. First real expense in 4 years.
But last two days cleaned the leather with G Techniq stuff that I got at Goodwood FOS. All lovely and matt looking. Lets see if it protects those recaro bolsters.
Then I cleaned Alcantara wheel with a couple of drops of...
Had a good day allround.
Do struggle to see anything meaningful. Find yourself 20 feet away from the action watching the big screen.
The new electric revolution a bit souless with lack of noise. Dont even know they are running. Very Quick though.
Those Singers 911's are amazing was a few inc...
At the time they were viewed as tame following the Cossies & E30 M3. But still very trick with faster lap times on half the power.
I think the current ones all use the same engine to keep costs down irrespective of manufacturer.
Going on Sunday with my Daughter. Not been for a few years now. And went on Fri & Thurs for cheaper tickets. So not had full monty experience for 20 years.
So looking forward to it.
Looks pretty dry so wont get stuck in park... just mega dusty.
She is 12 and been to a few Breakfast Clubs. But...
Coming through Worthing on the A27 in slow moving traffic yesterday.
Any RS a rare sight these days never mind a Grey one. Last time I saw a Grey one was my own 10 years ago!
Gave the thumbs up in my LY Cup-S.
I had my 306 GTI when it was pretty new so I think the 17's were available new at the time. Internet was in its infancy in early naughties I think I was on 1p a min dial up with Tesco......
I used to have bit problems getting my Cyclones balanced even on 15's.
I love the way with these fast fords they have gotten repro wheels in larger size (assuming these larger). Brings them upto date withought spoiling origniality. There was Adam Smith video on youtube with bloke making larger oem style wheels for 3 door Cossie & Saph. I remember considering 17...
Was at Breakfast Club at Goodwood. Supercar Sunday. Saw a few of these Aston GT8. Never seen before intresting bodywork with intresting kink behind wheelarch. Couple of 911s. Yellow RUF and black Restomod. (amongst the sea if GT3's. And was a silver porsche doing a nice job of getting a ltd...
Loving that a MG Montego can share space with a Lotus 250 Cup.
I wanted a MG Maestro ( the 1.6) as my first car. Dad talked me down to MG Metro.
Valuable lesson.
Never listen to other peoples advice when buying cars.
Anybody used these?
I just got a NC MX5. Its a 25th Anniversary. But its only done 4k miles in 7.5 years and I was told it had never seen rain. And underside looks like it just rolled off the production line.
Now its life is about to change. It will still be garaged when not in use and will...
