The engine mount cradle has cracked and come away on my 306 Rallye so it needs a plate fabricating and welding in. I'll get in touch with him again after Xmas is out of the way but by all means give him a nudge if you don't mind if you're seeing him again this week.
I could do with a custom...
I'm trying to get some stuff done at SAS welding (after noticing you use them previously).
They are very busy - which is always a good sign! Handy to have a company with those skills on your doorstep.
Just grabbed a PS3 (yeah - 10 years after release) and boy this game requires some updates to run... Must have a good 5gb worth of updates to do before I can play.
What is your company name? If it's Justin Akehurst Photography, which is written on your business cards etc then try and match it rather than shortening it.
Making it short and 'easy' to remember doesn't keep your brand consistent, which is equally as important IMO as the fear of people not...
Fair play. I admire when people think outside the box and give things a go.
I personally reckon you could have bought an offcut of steel and made larger versions and bent them yourself in a vice or something for similar or even less cost. From the pics the surface area appears slightly too...
I'm all for different sizing - if it's within the restrictions.
For example I've a vehicle with a 5 character plate and had it made with the characters at the correct size, spaced legally but with less 'excess' either end - but within legislation.
Initially looks 'illegal' and no doubt one...
Blimey.
If you're a man of principle like myself, then now's the time to put some leg work in and fight this until you feel you can do no more.
I'd probably start by gathering as many adverts for similar age/mileage vehicles as I could find to try understand what it would actually cost you to...
I can't blame your frustration, because at the end of the day - you weren't in the wrong (were you?).
You've now got to find the time and effort to arrange repairs yourself, with presumably less of a leg to stand on if it's not up to scratch. By that I mean - If you have a car repaired through...
The damage to the van appears to be from hitting a 'sharp' object, or a corner of something hard - opposed to being brushed past something. Certainly doesn't look like an obvious match to your damage or section of the panel.
As a guess it looks to be the corner of a bumper that's hit it.
Get...
As already been mentioned, prices don't depict the quality/reliability of a vehicle.
You can have someone wanting £2500 for a 172 Cup with s**t paint, moon miles and a drivers seat with more semen content than Peter North - but that doesn't mean it's immaculate because they think it is 'for a...
My first PC (early to mid 90's) was solely used to play Chip's Challenge. Windows 3.1
I remember getting Encarta 96 new. I was 9 years old. That and some DK Human Body software, was all I used it for. Nothing else.
Windows 95 was a nice upgrade. When we got a machine with Windows 98 I...
I'm looking at replacing my Windows 7 netbook but unsure what I should be buying.
The main usage would be internet browsing, office applications and go pro playback/fiddling. The current thing has 2gb of ram but won't play back my go pro videos so it needs to be something powerful enough for...
Genuine Apple £35 leather cases kept failing on my 5S within months (the port at the bottom would crack beneath the leather) so this time I shelled out a mere £8 on a Spigen case which has been ideal so far. Give Apple their due, they did replace FOC but it kept happening which got boring.
Take it to a specialist and ask for a health check. They'll be able to check the car over for you. You may even learn of some deteriorating parts that you can have refreshed now before they actually fail to keep it in good shape. A decent specialist through here will look after you.
6k is a lot of track mileage...
Oil is cheap enough. I'd personally drain it every couple of thousand miles or after 4 track days or something. Will depend entirely on how the car is used between.
I always laugh when I see what Mitsubishi specify for Evo engines, and then read on hatchback...
Z4, S2000. Couple of cars that come to my mind that I wouldn't mind trying for that money (although I can't fit comfortably in an S2000 FML) Any particular brief that needs fulfilling, like boot space or ability to carry passengers?
Whilst thinking of cars a girl may find acceptable, a Fiat...
Mine aren't too shabby at all for 7 years old an 60 odd thousand. There was a passenger side bolster repair done by an upholsterer due to a tear, but it's hardly noticeble that it's been done so if/when the drivers side eventually goes I know it's only an £80 fix.
I just personally detest the...
