Get a silicone gun out and seal the sunroof completely (from the outside) like I did. If that doesnt stop it, take central locking receiver apart and you should see the aerial mount. Seal that with silocone too. Seal it all off, sunroofs, ha! Who needs them?!

I would have thought so, but the 16v has wider rear arches and the tailgate may need to match the lines around the rear corner of the car. May not match up with RT boot. Someone else will tell ye properly...

uh uh! My mams H reg Clio 1.2 was mk1 ph1 regd August 1990. Phase two came out on L reg late on making it just before September 1994

Mk1 ph1s were from H reg to late L reg making it Aug90 to about July94. I have seen some ph2 L regs, so I would suggest ph2 was Julyish 94 to about Octoberish 96 (i have seen a couple of ph2 P reg Clios but most P regs are ph3.

Sounds ok, but definetly look for one with lower mileage. I got my old RT at 51k and sold it at 108k, had loads of problems between 80k and 100k. Check the history and see what its had done.

I know you were mainly concerned with the juddering. Im talking mainly about the clunking, caused by exhuast when turning right. By the way mine juddered a bit now that I think on (doh!) I replaced the drive shafts on both sides at a cost of £160 in total. Made no difference. Replaced gear box...

Aargh, its the exhaust hitting the gearbox mount. End of argument. Get it checked. Im trying to save you the year of bamboozlement I had.

ClioChris is def right with the exhaust. Get it up on a ramp and look under. The exhaust bangs against the gearbox mount. It drove me mad for ages. Easily fixed by bending pipe or cutting a wee bit off edge of gear box mount. Common problem. Only when you turn right, rumbling, all the symptons...

And by the way, yes the heat comes from the engine which is why you have to wait for the engine to get hot before you feel any heat. The matrix is like a smaller version of the radiator. When you want heat you switch it to hot. Hot coolant flows into it and the fan blows the hot air it creates...

As an alternative to the matrix, if ye desperately need heat to clear fogged windows, you can buy off ebay a little heater that plugs into your cigar lighter. Its sort of like a hair dryer for the dash. If its coz youre cold, wear a thicker coat and gloves...
